Renown active monitors manufactured in Denmark, the other country for good gear!
XLR connections, Low-Cut that can be set at 60 Hz or 80 Hz, switches to flatten the frequency response according to the room where they are installed.
I was stunned by their neutral and flat character after listening to them.
- What do you use them for?
I bought them originally for mixing and I am not disappointed...you can hear even the slightest panorama change, it's a real treat.
- Which amp do you use / in what configuration?...
Currently connected to a firebox while I wait for an RME

SOUNDS
- Is the frequency response neutral enough?
Yes, it's transparent and precise despite some difficulties (regarding the room and their placement) in the lows (50/100 Hz). Otherwise, it's all good.
- Is the stereo image good?
It's exceptional
If you ever have the chance, try them out
Depending on the room and the distance of the bass reflex ports to the walls you can easily get blurry lows, but that would be the same with all speakers.
The overall response is very precise, even the mids are fairly respected, they are linear, nice, not tiring. In short, must-have speakers.
OVERALL OPINION
- How long have you been using the product?
12 months
- How would you rate its value for money?
I have nothing to complain about, to be honest. I put them on my credit card, but given their quality, I think the price is all right.
- Based on your experience, would you choose this product again?
I was impressed after having tested them, because at first sight they are pretty far from being big, but these near-field speakers have clearly exceeded my expectations for a home studio.
A change of monitors?
Personally, I don't need to.
I use them in a home studio
Setup: edirol, cubase...+ synth and mics...
SOUNDS
The frequency response curve is perfect, but to go down to 50 Hz you need a subwoofer, obviously.
Extremely precise stereo image...No remarks, it's amazing, you can place every instrument with a lot of precision.
The sound is crystal-clear, the highs are perfect, too...I love them!
There's simply no comparison with other way-too-generous and flattering speakers...
The dynamic response is also very good, not exaggerated at all.

10 months of use, they revolutionized my ears, no ear fatigue, a precise response, I finally discovered the difference between the mids and the highs!!!
I love their performance and precision. Their only con would be their somewhat ugly look, but I don't really care too much about that, as long as they sound fine...otherwise I would've bought a nice piece of furniture.
Other models...genelec, mackie, m-audio, samsom, Krk...I only regret not having tested the adam a7...
You need to hear them with your own ears, everybody has his own preferences...
Very good value for money...it's not like you're buying something made in China (although I don't have anything against our Chinese friends!)
I would buy them again with my eyes closed.
I use them for monitoring, mixing with a Mac and a big Motu card.
SOUNDS
I second what has been said in the other reviews. Superb speakers!
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using them for 15 days non-stop and I'm still looking for something I don't like about them...
I have tried lots of models, Genelec, krk etc.. but I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again.
I love them
Published on 10/17/10 at 21:17I give them 10/10.
I use them for mixing and mastering.
SOUNDS
In my view, the frequency response curve is very flat, the dynamic response is also very good for speakers of this size, they lack a bit of lows but they are very precise, the stereo image is wonderful, I have the impression of having the singer right in front of me, I can hear sounds I hadn't heard with Adam and Mackie speakers. The sound is clear enough, very up-front mids, which doesn't annoy me, you'll need to adjust the frequency response setting the high-mids to -2.

OVERALL OPINION
I've had these Dynaudio for three weeks.
I have used many speakers throughout my life, yamaha ns10, adamA7, genelec 8030a (a bit too hi-fi), krk vxt8 (mids too far back and not precise enough), passive alesis, yamaha hs80, and, lately, I was also able to recover the mackie hr828, the first excellent speakers for mixing, but the lows are a bit loose, they are a bit muddy.
What I like best is their size, they are not as imposing as bigger speakers, like the mackie hr828 or vxt8, which are heavy. What I like least is the lack of lows (which you can correct with a sub)
They are worth their price.
With hindsight, I think Dynaudio has a rightful place among studio monitor manufacturers, although, if I had to, I would buy the BM12 insteas.
