JBL LSR4326PPublished on 10/11/11 at 10:53
I Bought my JBL LSR 4326P’s over a year ago. First project to mix was a Opera for television broadcast. I was set to spend more for the Genelec 8040s but over the past year I have become a fan of the JBLs. We have Genelec 1030As in all our rooms at the station and have bought the 8040s for our new HI DEF rooms and they are OK but if its my money I much prefer the clarity of the JBL. Don't have the sub yet, the 4326 have enough low end in my studio at home(bedroom) and in a near field situation they seem just fine. The opera and all the other spots I have mixed at home have translated very well to broadcast and have not had any surprises when I hear it on the Genelecs.

SOUNDS

The stereo imaging is fantastic. The subwoofer is smooth and even and it sounds more like a full range stereo system than a 2.1 system. JBL has done a fantastic job in getting quality suitable for mid-level mastering studios into a project-studio priced package. I would highly recommend them. And yes, the RMC does work and works great.

OVERALL OPINION

The bass on these is very tight and authorative. There is a noticeable improvement in transient response, as well. This speaker is very user-friendly, with all of it's advanced features. Setup is a snap. I'm very happy with them! But make sure if you are using them in a bedroom situation that your room is some what acoustically treated or they will sound horrible much like any speaker would that is in a room that’s not treated at all. Most people make the mistake of just putting monitors in any room and then they are disappointed with the sound of them when its not the speakers it’s the room!

DO I USE IT YET, but I got very favorable echoes this series that brings a little "revolution" in the world of studios. As usual JBL is innovative, and in the case of an Introduced advanced technology. [/ B] In Italy and Germany, the series was adopted.
Dj in 1998, JBL made a comeback with the series JBL LSR28P has encountered a huge success world scale.

It is important not to confuse JBL sales made in France via the importer and its dealers, ET, number of products on the JBL franais ground.
And, ultimately, to find that many professionals have suppliers Germans resellers and other Belgians, Italians.

very good speakers

+ is the remote controlled models, AES digital inputs seemed to me to save a useful analogue stereo output on my system.
RMC is also very interesting (you must have the micro JBL unless perhaps adapt a mini XLR jack with another mic test).
This correction should also be useful for the 5.1, to avoid phase problems.
The system LED on the front panel allows you to turn and manage the volume with the remote control directly, which avoids having to tamper behind his pregnant blindly, it is very convenient.
Attention to the enclosure firmware to be updated (yes because there is a firmware! Software provided is pretty basic, but provides enough work on the speakers.

SOUNDS

Very good balance. I bought the 4326 instead of 4328 to avoid having too low and have to work at a high volume.
I'm thrilled, it's perfect with 6 inches, and I could add the sub in the future if needed.
The sound is very balanced and pretty accurate (compared to my old Tascam 5 "low-end).
I listen to all my multimedia, and the sound is excellent for my taste.
I imagine that people who had in hand speakers + upscale surely will find faults, but it is still very good for the price.
The stereo image is good, but I do not have enough experience to be on :)
Even at high volume they behave well.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 3 months, I will redeem them without hesitation, especially occasion, the price is very good!
The sound from the speakers is very musical, and is not cold or distorted.
It can add up to work "in 7.1, with support from the remote that offers solo and selection functions eq, Sun, managing sub, etc..

Simple, effective and practical

Pregnant purchased as much for their technical characteristics (analog inputs + num, coupling network, remote level automatic calibration microphone ...) for their sound deemed neutral, which for me is THE condition of the sound image.
These speakers have fulfilled all my expectations. Beautiful finishes, practical even if it look a little on the manual given opportunities EQ calibration and multiple inputs. Effectivemment and sounds very neutral.

Against it are obviously not pregnant flattering. Forget the idea of pleasure in listening to his favorite CD, these speakers are primarily used to work! And this point of view they fulfill their role perfectly.
Working in sound for picture I have also been surprised by the good transport sessions prepared on these speakers in auditoriums mixing film.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for 6 months, after having had during my studies of Tapco S8 slobbering horrible, it was the day and night. I also sometimes used Focal CMS65 that I love and are also more accurate, especially at the bottom, but also more flattering. In comparison to the work done on these JBL carry better even if the details seem to come out a little less at first.
More should not forget that these enclosures interest also lies in the multiple connections and automatic calibration, simple and effective, which helps to mitigate certain types of pieces.
