I was looking at the start of Adam (the A7x) or HS80 and enjoying ribbon tweeters, I looked at the Pro Ribbon 8.

I use it in my home studio for mixing albums I recorded in the studio (if they are not mixed there and my personal composition.

SOUNDS

On the frequency curve and unlike HS80 which had interested me initially, I would say they are more neutral. The bass is accurate and round without being invasive and haut-mediums/aigus (strengths of these speakers in my opinion) are very loyal and, above all, enjoyable listening. It was also a test of my choice, I had several monitor speakers who quickly became tiresome to listen to their coldness and treble. With these I can mix normal volume without feeling fatigue tuned itself.

I love the look of brass and acoustic instruments on these speakers.

The stereo is excellent (once again many others that I could hear), stage of pan when mixing is facilitated.

I have a few more doubts about the bass produced by these speakers: I particularly like about them but I think the response curve has a slight bump in this area it. My mixes heard on other forums I have quickly noticed but once one knows its pregnant it learns to anticipate.

However, the event is located on the front (hence the bump?) On this side no problem for reflections from the wall behind.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for almost a year and I quickly got used to these speakers.
I listened to a lot of speakers in this price range and a bit higher (HS80, Adam A7x, KRK, Genelec ...) and I opted for the Prodipe (400 euros the pair purchased new) rather than Adam take time and I was not disappointed.

Strengths: precision, high fidelity midrange and treble, stereo and depth.

Weaknesses: The slight bump in the bass for mixing but rather quite nice when listening to music.
This is a detail but the two blue LEDs on the front are really powerful, I quickly hid for use in the dark.
