hand the serious that it would be ridiculous to expect a speaker this size, all is fair enough spectrum from 60HZ, the stro image is perfect .....

I also test the couples in sub psi which adds the bass but certainly not enough in my opinion prcis
for this the A25 are unbeatable

Looking for small monitors for a small room, with great versatility and neutrality, for working without fatigue. I connected directly to an RME sound card while waiting to buy some higher-end converter.

SOUNDS

With these speakers, a gap between industrial music and electronic pop compressed and low in micro-detail VS acoustic music (pop, classical, experimental ...). I was impressed to finally hear the percussion on the piano notes, you can detach all impacts of tom on the bearings. Once there is a space for the sound, it is perceived more easily and you can feel the "sound perspective."

The response curve is very neutral (to my ears / assisted immeasurably). This is very useful, I think more about the EQ on all frequency bands from 80Hz to extreme highs. The speakers down to 50Hz 60Hz, the slope is gradual, this extension depends on the listening volume. Currently my room is too bad to be able to perform acoustically precise equalization in the frequency bands below 80 Hz

The headroom over myself because my room is small. These speakers are designed to work with the A225 subwoofer that allows the extension to 25Hz, it then activates the low-cut filter for continuously variable set to max and relieve the amps in the bass. The sub is designed to maintain a slope of frequency response consistent with the response of the speaker.

The stereo image is excellent, and I think it will be even better with better converters. The sound is less tiring than on Genelec.

OVERALL OPINION

I previously worked on Genelec 1030, 8030 & 8050, the Dynaudio BM15A, Mackie HR824,, Fostex PM01, ADAM A8X, JBL LSR4328P ... Not to mention all the speakers used on various orchestras speaker serving in acousmatic music. However I have not tried the new speakers Neumann and the Focal.
I had not heard until now such a good impulse response (even on Adams), one realizes that the response of a speaker obviously does not only bandwidth but also the speed of response and the holding phase of a signal.


The only regret is the lack of bass to work down the spectrum. But given the size of speakers and technology "classic" (except for phase compensation CPR, the impedance matching of sorites AOI that make big difference). My concern is mostly for not having the € 2,200 it takes to get the sub! For this reason I put 9 / 10 to 10/10 but I should.

On the other hand I find that for small premises, Genelec 80xx series requires less down to have a consistent sound (I'm working really glued to the speakers), but it is enough to back 50cm from time to time to have a consistent sufficient.
By ISPs against the amps and instrument making projects better sound at a great distance, and power / preamps do not collapse like on Genelec.

It is very convenient to use the locking bar which is available to provide speakers on a small table microphone stand (K & M). The finishes are of course the height of a production Switzerland: perfect!

I bought these models in mind to make the transition to a large listening: ISPs A14 + A225 the sub! The advantage is that I will not have to part with it.
