ADAM Audio A8X

The ADAM A8X has the power and quality of sound that any engineer could ever want to work with. I have used these about 10 or so times so far and each time I use them I get a great mix and a master. The highs are very clean and crisp; the lows are amazingly clean and crisp no matter the volume or acoustic setting. The bass is very deep and tight, I am able to hear that very low frequency bass that I like to use just to add some thickness to the mix. In most monitors I cannot even hear the bass that is that low because the frequency range cannot handle it but that is not a problem with the A8X.

SOUNDS

The A8X are more expensive than what I thought they were going to be, after seeing the price of them I don’t think I would ever purchase them for my home studio or set up. I am actually looking for a pair of used ones in good condition.

OVERALL OPINION

These monitors have large bass reflex tubes and XLR/RCA connectors. The tweeter is 4 inches and has a velocity ratio of 4:1. There is a control panel with high shelve, low shelve, and tweeter gain. The A8X has a crossover frequency at 2300 Hz and an input impedance of 30 Kohm.
The precision and quality of these speakers in build and in sound is amazing and it is not hard to tell why they have been best selling monitors all over the world. If I had the money I would purchase these right now, but I am looking to get a used pair very soon. I have used other products from ADAM and they always have great quality products and customer support. Though the price is high, after using them many times I think it is ok to charge that much for them because they could be the last pair of monitors anyone would ever need.

After working on Yamaha HS80M which for me are inaccurate in the low end and low mid, I turned to Adam and A8X A8x why not A7x or A77X? because according to my area which is governed 25m2 I needed midfields monitorings which can descend to at least 38Hz and fill the sound space of my room and have a good performance. My usage is facing a work studio recording and mixing and mastering. I mix all of it.

Goodies: beautiful acute not aggressive, a good dynamic, beautiful balance once settled.
Cons: A slight depression around the media, but nothing crazy
The value for money is very good I think to start work very bine sound you have to put in at least one thousandth of Monitoring.
I remake that choice without a doubt.

My choice was versatile speaker: That is, both for the mix but also in music listening as a hi-fi. On these two terms it meets the criteria with some gusto. You will hardly find a price / quality / power as well.
I use an EMU 1212m with making his job very well for the price.


SOUNDS

Manufacturer figures do not lie:
they go down incredibly well in the bass (without a sub either, and maintaining good precision) and the highs are extremely clear. A peculiarity of its speakers is probably their directivity: The stereo image is really well respected. any mix moves with breathtaking ease, but be careful to observe the famous "triangle". I have been using 3 / 4 month. I've tried (for loan) pretty young model like rock and vxt krk series, or even small Yam or higher-end model in Dynaudio (BM5A and 6 ...) and so on and the best.

Actually I have consumed not heard much before buying. I liked it Desuite. As stated above the value for money is one of the best on the market that range.

By knowing its flaws (which I tended to exaggerate a bit without being too extravagant in) mix everything happening in honest terms. Again I would point out that their performance is not great.
