The first model, Pebble, is a near field 2-way active monitor that features 2×180W amplifiers, a 5” woofer and a soft dome compression driver. Its baffle is the same Aperiodic Vent that the one installed in the Avalanche subwoofer.
If you need to reinforce the low-end of Pebble, Unity Audio will also offer Bam-Bam, another active monitor equipped with a single 7” speaker and the same 180W amp as the Pebble. Unity Audio specifies that Bam-Bam is not, strictly speaking, a subwoofer, and adds that Bam-Bam will be sold in pairs. It is designed to complete the Pebble monitors in a three-way system. Audio and power cables will also be provided with Bam-Bam to interconnect the models.
Pricing and release dates of these new monitors will be unveiled at Winter NAMM 2014, along with technical details.
If you want to listen to this new setup, visit Unity Audio on January 24rd on booth 6324, Hall A, at the NAMM Convention Center.
