Rack Console with conventional connectors (RCA, Jack, XLR ...) and an integrated effect section. No USB or automation. Apart from the effects (very clean) is analog. Refer to the various sites for sale or other characteristics.

UTILIZATION

Simple setup with a manual in French and sufficient for all functions are visible on the table même.Je used in small ensembles (jazz trio), only (piano bar and baletti!) Or by providing DJ entertainment.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4 years. The last console I owned before it was a Beringer. And this is where I really give my opinion.
When I plugged the Soundcraft EFX8 ... Miracle!
I could see me again how Beringer was poor and distorted all my mix (Korg Arranger Pa2X Sheineiser + Micro + 2 JBL EON G2). My gear was very correct in his table but the mix was downright rotten.
Thanks to the soundcraft my ears are uncorked and I heard all the details again. It does not flatter the bass, leaving well-defined and thus allow you to make your own mix of very finely acute. For my part, all corrections and Midi sounds with fishing.
Small flat headphone and mute buttons are too small and not really recognizable (on / off), no LED for mute or PFL. Jack and button on / off hidden under the table (where the designer had to be stuffed!).
Excellent value for money especially secondhand. I would do this choice for my formula piano bar

UTILIZATION

Buy at Thoman, manual books in English. Not serious, the site Soundcraft, the manual is available ffrancais.

Use trs simple. All is clear and well located.

The default, the knob a little too close? Well now, I also wanted a compact table trs.
Another small missing: a mute button on each channel or a missing LED ....

SOUNDS

I use it in console gnral for the disco.
I have yet many utlisation with but I do not default to sound:
not breathing, clear sound.

Plus, it is the quality of the effects Intgr (thank you Lexicon.)
Indeed, Soundcraft is part of the same group as Lexicon, so the processor is a Lexicon MODEL: Top and above all the modules autrechose Intgr of Phonic, Yamaha and other Berhinger .....

The other thing that I really like are the eq:
3 in number on each tract, it is even possible to vary the influence of medium frquence: c'e'st perfect for placing the tracks.
Stereo tracks on the eq of serious falls much lower than on my DJM 400 DJ mixer from Pioneer. So I have a rglage complmentaire on this point: top!

OVERALL OPINION

Trs pleased with those early days with this console.
First went to a Berhinger or Phonic, I just increase my budget to pay me the Soundcraft: I am highly satisfied with the quality of this console.

20 years ago that I am the scne, studio and I fiddle with the stuff.
Everything has to tell you that having the stuff of this quality that price! (290Euros) is fantastic.

The console is manufactured in Fully mtal of quality with a nice blue paint trs night she PSE weight.
The connection reassuring, especially jacks, though big and strong.
All outputs (master, to, monitor ...) are symtriques (unlike behringer ...)
Trs faders are enjoyable, they are, in my opinion, although milder than those of Mackie and Behringer.
They are comparable (the same?) Those of the ZED Allen & Heat.
The knobs are also enjoyable but I prfre those of ZED, which are firmer.

The icing on the cake's Lexicon!
I do not know if you have many effects used Intgr tables Submitted mix up, but between the behringer noise machines, the stuff of bathroom and other Mackie Yamaha reverb plate, I had to connect a tendency plutt external lexicon.
L I must say that it's really useful and effective.
Everything sounds good, the reverb, time limit, flange, even when it's not a 91 pcm but usable.
The multi-effect is set, ona three knobs for rgler: the Pr-dlai/Temps/Vitesse the Dclin / Rinjection / intensity and variable. There is also the tap (!!!) time limit, the mute and pfl for single channel and fx posibilt mmoriser of the pRSET own!

UTILIZATION

Console classical architecture, the Eq pramplis and work well.
I use to live duets keyboards / voice or in a band of four musicians.
I have two Bose L1 distribution / return, the sound and the console effetsde I like good, with good compactness bonus.

SOUNDS

Everything works perfectly, the multi-effects Intgr n'apas equivalent to the market (except for external Obviously), the cashing pramp well, eq are ffective and everything sounds music.
Personally, I Plasse between mackie (without much personality and Allen & heat (suprieure quality in manufacturing and pramp).


OVERALL OPINION

The report qualitson / versatiaqsa will be amazed.
You will have a real console, though manufacturing, which sounds.
You will mainly use it as much fun over the years and is new in this price range.

Pretty well filled in between output of all kinds.
Professional quality manufacturing.

UTILIZATION

A novice can get lost is a bit more complex than a Alesis Multimix example.

SOUNDS

It is the lies the rub.
It may be perfect for his ing but a musician or a singer is pissed off with the sound that comes out of this table.
It sounds cold, it's dead, everything that happens in the spring without relief, without grain, without thickness.

We will make the changes with a Yamaha MG82CX, the sound will perhaps be not objectively better but the whole team that uses it will arrter to take the head with all the buttons and connectors unnecessary and resume especially take pleasure in playing with a sound that has some depth.

there he is made strong ... despite the small size and low price was well Soundcraft sound. correctors semiparametric are accurate and effective. the sound is warm and well rounded. Lexicon multi-effects is also effective and settings are sufficient. press "store" can instantly memorize the proper settings.
still a very slight hiss in home studio, but not annoying at all sound.
I use with condenser microphones and phantom power for the sound to theater, live on a group is without problems.

I've had almost a year. I also have a Yamaha 16 channel which is very good but less accurate. before I had a mackie VLZ, it looks like a little color and level of accuracy.
No negative point ... may be the M / A button that is underneath and not seeing mute / pfl on every track, but ... at this price!
we must not hesitate.
I'm just very happy and all to any of it great!

I was looking for a game console for live performance, with tidal and tired of always lugging a 19 inches with a Mackie 1202 VLZ3, reverb and delay 80s.
I had a moment MG82CX a Yamaha, which ignores very compact and lightweight, the cashing pramplis not bad, a little blow when they are opened more than 80% of their race, EQ breath as a pig, and the effects intgrs are more than mediocre. In short, if all are zero rglages is good. But no more ...

I port my choice on EFX8 because I did not need 16 channels (12 more than sufficient), having already once had a EPM6, I know the sound of this small console and I wanted a multi-effects when even a little better than the Yamaha.

Very practical, food integrates the high-pass the medium parameter for EQ, faders, etc ...
Just under the power button which opre 48V for 8 between both faders that are only 60 mm.

UTILIZATION

Simple to use, multi-effect is a little less at beginners, but once we got into the habit is in order.

In reading the manual, has already goes better right away (how to memorize the personal effects, make a reset to return to the factory, etc. ...).

SOUNDS

This console is not transparent, it is blue. Noise level not elsewhere ... It colors the sound, and that's what I love. Some consoles color the sound of a pleasant little Manir; the fact that little soundcraft Manir a very pleasing and warm.

Do not compare a console with 1,500 Euros or more, but to pay the price is very correct. We note its limits when many signals are sent in this little console, started to sound a bit too dense, it starts having difficulty distinguishing each track Manir clear.

To mix my keyboards is all done in order (2 to 3 keyboards in stereo at most), but to mix a full band, not the ... I would invest in a quality clear sup Procedure. Ditto for studio use, the quality is not the height.

As for the multi-effect is a pleasant surprise, and why I would put "good" in terms of sonority. It's a monster leap forward compared to the multi-purpose intgr my Yamaha MG series. All effects were not the same quality (the Rotary could do without ... eh), but the reverb and delay that are aboard the EFX8 are of the same caliber as those found in multi-effects from Lexicon MX series is the entry level for Lexicon, but almost replaces a small multi-effect between external range, with few possibilities of rglage less. And as I have specific on top, no comparison with the effects of multi-CFX Mackie and Yamaha MG.
But nothing can replace a good console with no internal effect, and an excellent external rack (I speak from Lexicon PCM series, Eventide, TC Electronic Mx000, Bricasti, etc. ...).

OVERALL OPINION

To pay the price (230 Euros), which is practically the price of a multi-purpose Lexicon (MX200), I have a small compact mixer, solid, that sounds not so bad for my keyboards. For this use, it's really good.

For another use (mixing live, studio, I would clearly something else. But as a small mixer (sub-mix on stage), has been very very good job.
