Caractéristiquse very good for a small portable mixer (I said it is not amplified). Its 8 tracks are ample that it is in the studio, or "small" live.

UTILIZATION

Use child! One branch, is regulated and that's all.

SOUNDS

Effective equalizer, there was even a compressor for microphones and phantom power. It hardly brought any breath for an analog table.

OVERALL OPINION

I use about 5 years.

If you are in search of an affordable mixer then the Yamaha MG82cx will suit you fine. It has 8 channels all in stereo and phantom powered mic inputs for your condensers. With built in SPX effects and the channels also have built in compression and EQ you will be able to get the sound you want and need very quick. The price of the MG82cx is less than 200.00 dollars. For a unit with these type of effects and built as good as it is I wouldn’t be surprised if it was almost 400.00 dollars!


UTILIZATION

The Yamaha MG82cx is a very good sounding unit. It is very quiet and does not generate any noise. All of the effects are very good, clear and clean. This unit is very portable and light, it can be taken with you or moved from location to location pretty quick and painlessly.


SOUNDS

It has 8 channels 2 XLR mic preamps, 6 ¼ stereo inputs. This unit does not connect or interact with your computer. It is very light and portable.


OVERALL OPINION

The MG82cx works well and it’s a well constructed mixer. I was using this mixer for a small set up for almost a year and never had any issues with it. It is easy to understand and start using right out of the box. It is actually better than a lot of other mixers that are in its price range. You can purchase it in blue or in black. All of the knobs are well built and have a nice resistance to them. The one knob compressor on the MG82cx is my favorite feature that it has. My least part about this mixer is that I wish it had some sort of computer connectivity for transferring files to the DAW. But even without the connectivity to a computer the mixer is still very good, and it is very dependable. You will not have to worry about it not working or falling apart on you.

All I can say that is that I 'm really happy.
I plug in my top two keyboards, my turntables and cassette players;
j 'record by connecting over my Zoom H2, I have also plugged my sound card.
Output I have four branch speakers: 2 of 2 monotoring and multimedia.
I'm using a few effects to me more than enough (especially reverbs).
No problem connecting virtually any high-volume same breath.
The reproduced sound quality is brilliant.
I do not regret my purchase because the price-quality ratio is really good: frank 166 Euros for this machine, it was worth the money.

2 mono channels with inserts and compressor input + XLR Jack 6.35 (lanes 1 and 2), 2-channel stereo input jack + XLR 6.35 (lanes 3 / 4 and 5 / 6), a stereo channel input jack 6.35 + RCA (Channel 7 / 8).
Gain control knob on channel 1, 2, 3 / 4 and 5 / 6. All channels have a knob for tone control High / Medium / Low except tracks 7 / 8 with only two knobs High / Low.
Channels 1 and 2 plus an adjustment knob compression.
Inserra possibility of external effects on the console with the input jack 6.35, can also go out to a recorder (cinch) or connect an MP3 player or other (via RCA plugs).
16 selector positions to select one of the internal effects to the table. Intensity of the selected adjustable using a knob. French manual YAMAHA available on the site. Clear and concise, with wiring diagram in the end pages for a more enlightened view of the interconnection.
Operation is very simple and requires no non-stop dive ds documentation.

SOUNDS

Sounds tip-top. No breath, except perhaps with the gain in depth, but really nothing to say.
The effects are realistic, simple and easy to use. I think 16 effects are appropriate and sufficient for the job I do)

OVERALL OPINION

I swapped a Behringer UB1002FX MG82CX against this and really it is day and night. UB1002FX frankly it's shit compared to the Yamaha.
Simple, indeed quite appropriate, sound instruments (Olympia OD10SCE, AEX500 Yamaha, Taylor 314CE) fully restored, well defined sound, no breath.

I really recommend the purchase even if it seems to have invested in a Tupperware box as it is "plastic".
I think you just have to be careful because it does not seem very robust .. To see ...

UTILIZATION

The general configuration is simple?
The setup is intuitive even for novices (like me)

I find it quite clear before I had a line6 UX2 soundcard and I think the sound is better since.

The more positive about this mixer is its value for money and ease of handling.
The downside for me come from internal preamps, I preferred to more good things for the preamp voices.

Very good I really hesitated with several other table, but this one delighted me

Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?
yes I would do it again without hesitation for a first mixer for people who have little means (with 2000 € I would have taken another) ^ ^
