I think the "Micro" is underrated. It doesn't feel like a 1 OSC synthesizer... I think it is due to the routing otions combined with the "modes" of the filter. I am still exploring the system, but basically the OSC shape can modulate the filter (off, weak, strong), which itself can self-oscillate and generate tones. When you tweak these, it appears as if you are dialing an infinite number of very different Oscillator waveforms. It is not a 4 OSC monster, but it is a GREAT 1 OSC synthesizer.

UTILIZATION

Everything is at your finger tips, there is no hidden menu.

For a 30 year old beast, it is quite durable - HOWEVER this is an analog synth: it WILL "behave" a bit crazy from time to time...

SOUNDS

Its sound is full, thick, warm, and amazing... Old synths are definitely *alive* my friends. Within a few minutes I had programmed a HUGE bass drum, hi hats, snare, sampled them in my AKAI MPC1000 and recorded a sequence. Then I dialed a super fat bass and played along... I was blown away by the richness. My 2 year old son and I made a Volcano sound this morning ("cano" as he says). It sounded awesome as if the lava was bubbling. He shouted "ohh CANOOOO!" while tapping the keys. I also put together a full song, from drums to deep bass, to lead and FX, with "just" the Micromoog, sequencing snippets of phrases played live on the Micro... Basically I feel 100 times more inspired when I create a patch on this thing than on all the VA, DSP, or VST synths I've used in the past. The filter has such great character and the modulation options make the whole experience very inspiring. I love it. Here are 3 sounds I recorded straight from the Micromoog. 100% analog synth "vintage".
2 octave keyboard has 10 to choose from, soft enough
Polyphony: 1 (mono, whatever). Controllers: pitch (ribbon controller) and modulating (wheel) + full of knobs everywhere.
an infinite (vritable) sound, but no presets, I remember 100% analog ...
Possibiite but no effect of modulating the filter with a variety of sources
2 LFO, ADSR envelope, white and pink noise
connection, output jack, no MIDI, but there CV and Gate (I've never used)
No commercial PC.

UTILIZATION

Primary use: great for doing solos. Or just for fun, because
it's really funny how a chouilla of change a setting can change the sound.
Be careful, as you can not save patches, there is everything down on paper! (The position of
portards, etc ... That's the fun analog!)

Not advised those who do not know how to walk a subtractive analog synth.

SOUNDS

The sound is really good. Large gravelly bass, treble up all that dchirrent ultrasound (beware pregnant!).
on the other hand do not expect necks that has anything resembling known.
It's a Moog synth sound, period. (But in 75 years was La reference).
Portamento mode (adjustable), we can make very pretty white glissandos.bruit + LFO sounds will make you helicopter sytle Apocalypse Now without pb.
Possibility of random modulation filter (not bad) or picth (then it's not very melodic ...)
raction is not to the swift. It is a shame!

OVERALL OPINION

I had one for 10 years, I sold it for 1200 balls and now I am very sorry.
It was the perfect complement to the organ (yes) then I
because it was really trs, trs big sound (warning: monaural)

Good maint'nant synths are virtual arivent (almost) do the same thing. See for yourself.

in fact it is a mono with only one default: do possder a VCO, which Reduces Whereas his paw sound (even when offset by a "Doubling "grazing quite sound)

UTILIZATION

Trs easy to use, can have fun even when (if the oscillator is stable, the main default ....)

Sounds done everything Moog!

Obviously it is far from the Mini, but the price is far too.

For cons, I do not know who is the fool who would sell "30", as prcis above!)

Sold some time ago (beginners bought 80 secondhand, I have sold more than the price era ...).
