it is expensive but we know why we buy the reliability and crashes that are uncommon I like. it all the same must be said that competition has made good progress since the "your application has stopped working .. . "
With experience, you do again this choice? ...
yes and I remain under snow-leopard which I think will remain the "windows xp" from apple ...

I've had a few days.
I like the interface MAC OSX tiger refreshing compared to XP.
I love the lair of the beast, customizable at will and so easy to upgrade. An happiness! The interior of the unit is separated into drawers. Everything is simple and nikel access even for the uninitiated.
Mighty Mouse is not very accurate at first sight ... and ergonomics is average (although it does not take in hand, too round, and the side buttons are hard and the only button (hull) top is destabilizing.
I've tested the Mac Book ... G4, G5 ...
1024 MB RAM is a bit lighter. To upgrade essential.
The value for money ... Hmm ... The prices could fall! We pay the brand, of course, in addition to the excellent quality of all ... But still, it's price to pay!

I use a Mac Pro 2.66 ghz Intel Mac with 7 GB of ram for a year, and APRS have long boss pc, I compltement sduit the stability and simplicity of this design machine. no son useless in, all expansion slots are available, for 4 drawers DDIS HD easy to change. and above all a stable OS, no crashes, just a message like "core audio surchargquot, but a good mix of 62 audio tracks with eq, comp, limited to 10 bus with reverb and other delay! never t would be possible with a windows mister!
frankly for those who want to quietly CRER is the essential tool, able to rest on its Systm is very reassuring when we express orders.
the price? performance is seen not to be discussed.
Finally, if c'tait again, well yes sr, I even inflated a Imac G3 500mhz with 1 GB of RAM to my workstation complter.

Systm is the utrastable and efficient and the time is familiar with leopard trs trs short (1 hour ...). report quality excellent price for a machine of this power and the quality (design apple and more!). The same computer from DELL with windows vista is more expensive with performance largely infrieur. With exprience, I would do choix.Il Obviously this is the mac pro is an expensive machine, but the price is well justified.

The Mac Pro is the ultimate computer. Nothing on the market can compare to what this computer can do as far the as the specs go. My mac Pro has 6GB of RAM, a Radeon HD 5770 and a Super Drive. This computer is so powerful and nothing can compare to its capabilities. It came with Logic software which is a powerhouse software as well. I have experienced 0 latency with this computer. This computer will automatically take your creativity to the next level without even trying. This one is what the big boys use in the big time studios.

This can also be upgraded to 10.5 Leopard with 64 bit for quad processors if you choose. But for now I will stay with the dual processor its more than enough for my home setup. This is ready right out of the box, only if you’re a mac user though. If you aren’t fluent with mac software it could take you some time to understand the flow of the software and the way things work. The instructions for the Mac Pro are very clear and concise. Not hard to understand at all.

I wouldn’t have chosen any other system if I could go back, the price of this computer is high. But what do you expect for this quality. This is a must have if your into and type of music, video or photography editing. It comes equipped with software to handle and manage all three of those things. The thing that’s a little off to me about this tower is the size of it, its pretty bulky and takes up space. But its very durable and rugged. So if you have to move it from place to place you can without any worries. It also has handles on it so you can pick it up with ease. Defiantly go with the Mac Pro. You will thank me later..

The Mac Pro is Apple’s professional workhorse. This computer is featured in many top facilities of the recording industry, and it has been the flagship of Apple for quite awhile. There are many different versions of the Mac Pro since they dropped the Powermacs, but the one I’ll be talking about has two 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Westmere processors, 6 GB of RAM, 1 TB hard drive, a Radeon HD 5770 with 1 GB of RAM and a Superdrive.

The Mac Pro is not necessarily the prettiest to look at, and it’s actually getting a bit dated considering Apple mostly focuses on looks for most of their lower level machines. However, the Mac Pro is a purely professional machine, and looks are second to hardware. The hardware in this thing is all server/industrial grade stuff. You have the Xeon Westmere processors, which are renowned for their stability under heavy load and FB-DIMM RAM with extra thick heat sinks to help prevent any heat soak that may occur when pushing this thing to its limits.

Most people complain about the price of this machine, and given that it’s about $3500, their complaints are a bit justified. However, you can’t forget that this is top of the line industrial hardware. It’s true that Apple charges more than most people, but once you start factoring in the hardware, it’s not as big of a difference as most people thing.

The computer comes standard with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. This is an upgraded version of the 10.5 Leopard, and it has upgraded 64-bit compatibility to allow usage of both quad-core processors. I’ve found 10.6 to be more stable than 10.5, and it’s way better when it comes to things like Wi-Fi. The best thing about the OS is that you don’t have to worry about getting a pesky virus like so many other OSes out there.
