The update adds compatibility with the QFlex 64, which is the largest model of the loudspeaker line.
The QFlex 64 array loudspeaker features 6 modules that are connected together in order to form a 5.5 meter high column. It includes 32×4" and 16 × 3" speakers as well as 16×1" tweeters, a 64-channel DSP and individual power amps.
The array allows for up to 100 meters sound dispersion and can be networked with Tannoy VNET or optional Dante products. AES connection is also included.
The QFlex 64 loudspeaker, as well as the other models of the series, can be remote programmed from a Windows-based PC using the QFlex BeamEngine software. It simulates acoustic scenarios based on various parameters, including crowd area, array height, “null” spaces (were there will be no sound), etc. The sound engineer can create “steering” files that will be used to control each array in the system. The algorithm generated can be loaded to the loudspeaker DSP using the VNet software.
