UTILIZATION

Configuration is not easier, as any amp for a broad range of settings but it is facilitated by the ability to store favorite settings on 4 channels.
The manual is clear enough to understand all the functions.
The 175w is nice, it is easy to repeat as the house and even in concert with a drummer who bangs

SOUNDS

I mainly play in a register pop / rock and sometimes jazz. I liked this amp for a long time then one day I decided to invest in a better bass (I've been a yamaha erb70 a Fender jazz bass 60th anniversary U.S.) and the ... This is the drama. Same with my Yamaha amp was flattering for a low low end, as with my Jazz Bass it really represented a clamping impossible to enjoy the qualities of this bass.

For me its the most correct is rnb, which I find a bit more "funky". Distortion is fun to have fun but in the rest.

OVERALL OPINION

After 5 years of loyal service I can no longer turn the knobs in all directions to find a sound that I like (and this despite the possibility of the store), I envi an amp or j ' I simply plug and environ me to play on without trying 15min sounds: I markbass an environment!
In summary a good amp for beginners and discover sounds alone and with friends in repeats.

Regarding the ratio q / p I think that today it is possible to find much better for much less. At least one occasion, in my opinion, go your way.

I Posed this amp depui depui 3 months and the first faith that I have no other Saul bass combo has arrived m'impression. This monster is very powerful 175watts compact perfect for jamming with a band and do shows. + 3effect a compressor (not super) + tuner + Intgr a synth sound.

A huge pleasure to play with here ...

Being a bit of fiber and Blues Rock, I'm not a fan of the synth (it's special anyway), but it's worth it to look a while. The four tones give me the flexibility ... OVERALL OPINION

I have this amp for 4 months ... This is not a trial after 2 minutes or test done in any conditions I have for this amp. It weighs 33 pounds (I think) it is easily transportable and robust. A bass player does not stop here .. huh?!

I played Peavey, Dean Markley particular, tried the LD300 and know several other ranges and prices ... I think it's by far the best quality / price / power / etc that I know.

The diversity of his sound palette is very extensive. With its 15-inch bowl is "very" effective and largely convinced me.

Not ready to sell it ...

Amp of some 175 watts (hence the name ...) well represented, there is more than enough punch to kill your drummer if he has no amplification. To borrow the idea of ​​the brand, we have here a real amp modeling. 6 yen (that is, a 6-channel adjustable as desired) and a loop of three cool effects (filter, octave-to-rags and chorus). To add a layer, you get a 4 + presets, these are four models that you can substitute other of your own if you sing it.

The amp has an entry in the + passive / active and traditional pots: drive, bass, low-mids, high-mids, terble, channel volume (which allows you to keep power by lowering the master volume, practice for distorted sounds) and a compressor (I found a little crappy) with an XLR output and a switchable tweeter.

The amp has a good mouth and frankly looks damn solid.

UTILIZATION

The advantage of all the buttons / channels / effects & co is that it is possible to have very different sounds and of good quality; the disadvantage is that it's taken a bit of head start . But hey, it's a bit why we bought the amp, right?? Anyway if you are lost souls just read the manual: it is clear and well done.

SOUNDS

It is possible to obtain three "types" of patches saturated with channels ROCK, BRIT and adjustable GRIND with the drive it gives lots of possibilities, eg if you hack the drive is a way to have the type "motorhead" that is a style of his brontosore. Of course it depends on your bass and microphones, mine is a stew with Yamaha (which I intend to change a precision later) and it sounds really good compared to the Hartke B300 I had before.

It is no coincidence that bassist magazine wrote that this amp is a success. For some 600 euros (about) one has a powerful bass amp, very versatile and convenient. Guys do not wait, go for it!

UTILIZATION

The manual is clear and in any case the use is fairly intuitive.

SOUNDS

The sound is not too bad but the amp much color the sound of the instrument. It allows you to make it sound very properly a low-end bass. A bass player from a small jazz band that played on it just before we found it sounded very good compared to his, but he played a Squier bought second-hand that did not look good at all and the amplifier was a low-end too.

For cons, the bassist of my group (I am a scratch) that my amp is sometimes used in concert (the Fender is not powerful enough) plays a Music Man Stingray. The violin is not good at all to his advantage with this amp. Its Music Man in 1500 euros does not sound much better than my Cort at 325 euros ...

The integrated effects is correct and no more. All is not exploitable in this amp.

OVERALL OPINION

It suits me because my bass is not a premium for its versatility, powerful enough to play in small venues and XLR output that makes it easy to dub in the mix table.

I tested the Behringer Ultrabass 300w. It really is not good and this one is less powerful than my 175 and Lowdown saturates very quickly.
Eden 75w combo (not bad) I would choose now rather than the Line 6.
Fender Rumble 100w not too bad but not as good (and cheaper) than the Eden.

In short, this amp is for those who do not have the means to buy a good bass. on the other hand, playing with a good low curb over sound capabilities of your instrument.
