Black hard plastic.

I got it second hand from a friend.

Its a great pedal and has tons of effects, and each one you can customize and save different effect presets. From distortion to echos to synths and even some kinds of noise and sound effects. There is one preset that makes a high pitched squeal when you play even when playing a low B string; useful? Depends on what you are playing, but no matter what type of music you are playing there is bound to be some effect on this pedal that will help you out. It even has a wah pedal on the side which can do more then just wah, it can change all kinds of effects. Its a great pedal.

It can take a little while to switch through all the different effects to get to the one you want. If you are playing a gig you are better off keeping any presets you want to use right next to each other so you can switch back and forth quickly.

The output jack got a little bit loose and I need to play with the cable a little bit to make sure its in the right spot or else the sound cuts out. I am not sure if this is just a fluke problem or if other people have experienced this. The rest of the unit is very well constructed and doesn't seem to have much more then a scratch on it. It is made of very durable plastic.

Its a great pedal and you can usually find it pretty cheap, its a great bang for your buck, there are much better pedals out there and if you have the money you can probably get something a bit better.

Hey I bought this unit for fifty-three bucks on ebay haha cheapest ive seen secondhand

This is a great unit, and its so customizable(i know thats not how you spell it) i used the Tube effect and i can get it so sound like Mike Dirnst(Green Day). I wanted to get a Digitech but i didnt have the money so i used my old friend ebay and got this unit dirt cheap YAY! this is a great unit especially beacuse of the znr(zoom Noise Reudction) makes my halfstack sound like its not even on


Dislikes humm i dont know the only thing i noticed is that on stage it gets noisy beacuse the base is made of plastic and every time you change you hear a big click
but its liveable and i love this unit

Ohh yea one other thing if you play and switch alot the only other thing is that the swich buttons are small

like i said its a plastic unit (like all Zooms) but its well made. ive herd that the 1/4" jacks mess up but not on mine yet thank God

Love the super control (a little too much on some) I only use the BLUES 1 that comes with the unit and three patches I programmed myself (Echo, flange and reverb solo) But those WONDERFUL sound and the fact that its a great silent stage tuner almost pays for itself.

I love it so much but the quality of contruction is cheap. I remember hearing about people sending it back after a year to be fixed because the plugs went faulty. Well it happened to me too! But instead of sending it back, I opened it up to see what's up. Here's a quick fix for those who know hhow to solder (next box)

unit quality AOK (except cheap plugs) To fix faulty plug problem. Take off plate, inspect circuit board where 1/4 plugs solder right into board(!!) Yes, you'll probably see cracked joints. Get the solder gun out and reapply a little solder there. Now it's like new. From then on, using 90 degree plugs would help. I am currently looking for some. Also a strain relief (or just rubber banding the in and out cable together) will help.

Absolutely love the unit - wished they used 1/4 plugs that don't solder right into the board - I don't care how careful you are, eventually (after 30-50 gigs) that solder joint will be too stressed and you'll have to do what I did.

Purchased from Music Retail Store. Paid $109.99 (in July of 2001) without AC adapter. Best choice for the money at the time.

Unit is very easy to use. Selecting and editing patches is straight-forward and intuitive. Overall sound is good. It has a power switch and will work on seperately purchased AC adapter. Effect pedal can be calibrated. Overdrive effect is clean and rich. Analog controls are very handy.

Most preset patches are not useful and some are downright irritating (for rock music). Many of the effects are weak including the toner and chorus. The octaver is strong and somewhat overpowering. The effect pedal range is woefully small (feels like it only has three settings), and some of the parameters it can control are comical. Analog controls react wierdly when swapping patches. Would have been better to use a jog type control.

Constructed of high impact ABS plastic and has held up well for 2 years. The effect pedal is still tight. Never used live so cannot vouch for stage performance.

Great unit for price. Wide variety of effects and great control over them. Probably not best unit for recording but for practice and some gigs works very well.

I bought this from Metro Music in Glenalde AZ along with a Fender 5 string Bass. I paid $169.00 on a closeout.

What I like is the great variety of sounds it produces. As a bonus, I am also happy with the way it sounds when I play a saxophone into it.I don't have to buy an extra efects unit for the sax! I bought a universal A.C. adaptor from Walmart for $9.00 which takes care of the battery problem.

It is time consuming running through all the sounds to find the ones you like, but it is well worth it.

It seems to be well made-only time will tell how long it stands up to normal usw.

For the price, this is a nice, multi-use product. I'm glad I bought it.

I was Given this multi effects pedal, as a christmas present off my parents, it cost £110, and was bought from Rimmers in Leyland (Lancashire, England),this was a very good price for the pedal, one of the cheapest i could find!!!

I like this unit because, of its many functions, the total of 60 effects, 30 of which are user programmable (customisable), there are around 50 sigle effects, which consist of modular effects, phasing effects, and many amp models. This multi effects pedal is great for live acts because of its noise reduction (which automatically cuts off the output when you arent playing, and starts again when you start) This unit is also very good, because it has an onboard chromatic tuner, allowing you to tune to any note, including sharps (and therefore flats),it is aslo excellent for practising, as it has a drum machine on it, with many different beats, and a 5 second sampler on it!!!

The one and only thing I do not like about this pedal, is that the batteries dont last long, if you use it a lot (and it is quite hard to find an adapter that will suit the pedal, and it costs a bomb to ship it from zoom itself!!)

The construction of the pedal is very good, the knobs are rugged, and protected. The pedal does not slide freely, and the effect swiches are easy to press, and non of the parts wiggle around, and serve no purpose, they are all firmly in place, and are very easy to use!!!

This pedal, is one of the best bass effects pedals, for its price, and it gives great sond, without having to pay for fancy looks (for example the 'line 6 POD' which has some good sounds, but is hard to use live, and does not have an expression pedal) This pedal also gives out great sond, when used with a distortion pedal and a Lead Guitar!!!

I paid about $200 for this pedal at a guitar store near where I live. I Bought it 'cuz i wanted more various sounds coming from my Ibanez bass.

I love this pedal!. It comes with 60 amazing distortions that you can edit to tickle your fancy and it has a built in expression pedal so you can change the volume, octave, and it helps with the wah effect. All the distortions work well no matter how high or low you play notes.

Nothing that affects my playing except that the input and output jacks are a little lose and cuts out it you hit it hard enough.

This pedal was built very strudy and durable, and I know 'cuz one day, me and the band we coming home from palctice and I accidently left the pedal on the roof of the car! We found it a few minutes later in the middle of the highway and I got it and brought it home. It had a few scrathes on it but it played as if nothing happened!!! I'd say that good construction.

If you want effects like sythesizers, crunchy distorions, wacked-out noises, and ones for a better sounding bass, this is your pedal!

SOUND QUALITY

Good question, the effects are there and well ... ffective flanger looks like anything but a flanger the delay a little better or down the effects of these blsse wha, wha looked like anything but a wha effect.

OVERALL OPINION

I buy them Thursday, July 23 and I bring them back to the store that had the dlicatesse of me and make me take my 50 and my dealer said I will say this had the effect of m. .. . at the time I did not understand Now I know!

Well then ...
It has almost all the classic effects that can be found on this type of multi-effects:
Wah, octave whammy, distortion, phaser, flanger, delay ... There is plenty to do.
Emulation cheap, it is not in the "Line 6" nor the "COSM" but it's not the same non-plus budget.
30 and 30 preconfigured presets to edit.

single entry for low and in line
single output for amp, line out and headphones.

outlet to the most common format (the format 9volts boss), but can operate on battery.
Rudimentary drum machine, amp simulator and built-in tuner.

wish we could have an independent line in such settings, but editable by 4 knobs catch levels and the integrated drum machine ... is still rare in the competition.

UTILIZATION

If you read a previous opinion mine, the person wrote that the Chinese should be read, spoken and writing to approach this toy. Not at all my friends!
We have a budget of less than 70 Euros a device that certainly gives us some freedom as to the issue of the order of the cascade of effects and parameters of these effects but still:
you can control the gain, two settings modulation (flanger, phaser, wah, ...), and octave pedal can control these parameters (or wah or volume of course)!
To change the preset, simply press one or the other push buttons with his foot.
If you press both at the same time: setting bypass and tuner.
but it is a classic recipe that is a standard used by all brands.

Anyway, there would be a little more clarity would be nice but personally, I never took the record in the hands!

SOUND QUALITY

The quality is terrible compared to ... effects rack and a tube amp in a New York studio!
Again compared to the value of the machine is correct.
There are lots of stalls and pit the octave shift depending on the speed of the game or the height of the note and tone.
The flange and phase are to be used sparingly.
The distortion is doing pretty good. She has also helped out in the studio, it is to say!
same for the chorus.
Cons of having fun with an assignable expression pedal, we laugh a lot to use it but hey it's an occasional whammy for a bassist.

OVERALL OPINION

You should know that I leave this opinion because, as I put mine on sale, I was led to read the other review and I was amazed at the lack of relevance and disbelief of my predecessor who was thinking that 'about fifty euros we had a central effect luxury (that not even the price of a good delay).
Personally I sold this pedal because of course I now better. But one day I started on bass and I did not know if I had to offer me this or that effect. anyway I love the saturation effect, but as such, this multi purpose allowed me to better understand the value of the octave to add to a bridge game with a flanger, it shakes. and a small chorus ...

This multi-effect is for a beginner who does not want or can not afford all the pedals but who wants to try these alternatives to afford the after effects of the most popular.

Me, it made me service and I find it logically deserves note 6 as at this price because some of these machines offer a few qualities in it.

Special mention for having added a sampler and a drum of course they are rudimentary but again they can acquire the foundations for the future and also help to increase my rating to 7!

good value for money (I know it's easy to say I sold one!).
