I bought this pedal last week for my electric guitar. I already had the Roland keyboard version (EV-5), the pedal itself is completely identical, except for connections.

Two inputs (1 & 2), two corresponding outputs (1 & 2). High impedance. What happens if you enter a low impedance (like a keyboard)? Has a low output impedance? I do not know ... but I'd rather not try. I use an input / output.

It's plastic, but solid. However my idea is to use it at home for my recordings, quietly in my home studio, not to submit to the test live. So caution ... If not for concerts frenzied, see an all-metal model with Ernie Ball.

The angle of the pedal is good enough for me. There is no spring, so it remains in the position given to him.

I paid 90 euros, I trust my dealer for the price, but then I saw that one can find much cheaper. With you to look ...

This is a volume pedal. Not very complicated. 2 IN / 2 OUT adjustment of intensity and a bypass for tuner.

UTILIZATION

Ultra easy to use.

The problem is that it is light ... Forget to use it "as is" on the ground ... I'm currently making one of my pedal-board where it is wedged .. It is better ... A hand on the carpet and again) ... it slides.



SOUND QUALITY

Well, there are "crackling" ... it is a rack ... So too fragile ...

It has been several years since I've ... I've never used a lot ... And even less cleaned ... Should "dust off" the connectors may be ...

OVERALL OPINION

Good volume pedal not too expensive to start ... If you want something really reliable ... aim for the metal models Morley (opto-mechanical), or from Jim Dunlop Ernie Ball ... is of course not the same price ...

To you know ...

I now make me a pedal-board "analog" ... I will probably replace it with something else ... Ok it cost me fifty or € ... but if I can not remove the crackling, I will buy another more expensive ... this will be eg 90 € for the 50 + € morley thereof ... In short, I lost 50 € in the so-called economy made the day I chose this Boss. Moreover, by the way ... and trying other brands, I separate myself quickly BOSS pedals (except perhaps the "looper" RC-2 handy)

It is therefore a volume pedal. The principle it works like a wah-wah (without bypass on the other hand), except that there is to control the volume. Therefore, raised position, it leaves his system up, heading down, we lower / off the sound. A small volume pot on the side adjusts the sensitivity of variation in volume. This means that you can set it to mute the sound completely in the down position, or set it to lower the volume to move in rhythmic example.

Note, it is possible that even with a muted yet fully perceive it a little bit of sound (that said, the goal is not to play when you cut the sound so ...)
