TopicPosted on 03/05/2006 at 13:59:15new and confused about something
hiya all
the main concern for me, is i have a studio set-up and have done for a while, but i do not know how i can record to multiple differnt tracks at any one time.
I always have to record everything one by one, and sometimes this is good, but mostly this hinders my process.
would be grateful for help.
Is it easier to record muliple tracks thru USB or jack? if so how in gods name do i do it.

if your talking about the software, just hit record enable on multiple tracks.
if your talking about getting more than one track into your computer, you need a sound card interface that can separate the inputs (in otherwords, 2 or more line in jacks).
using a headphone splitter won't work
try an audio interface that connects via USB or firewire, or get a different kind of sound card.
...gotta have a good sound card that has multiple inputs and outputs...then in your recording software you asign a track to a specific out/input. understand?, nod yes or no.
