Topic looking for interface to work with dell laptop
I have a dell inspiron 9300 laptop with 1G ram . I have music studio by magix for the recording software. The laptop has just the standard sigma sound card that came with it. I need an interface that I can connect midi to also mics for a guitar and voice. Nothing expensive. I have looked at a m audio 410 but it has 6 pin firewire. THe laptop has a 4 pin firewire. I am very new to all this so any help will be so appriciated. I have lots of usb connections on the pc

you can use 6pin firewire devices with your 4 pin port. The only difference is that you will need to use the powersupply to fire up your m-audio device. I belive you will even get 6 to 4 pin cable in the box.
