Hey everybody,
I've been using a rack mount compressor for some time to record my voice tracks, but I want to move to a more flexible software option (if you screw up the compression, you have to re-do the whole track with a rack-mount). Is there a software app that will allow for compresison after recording the pure voice track???
I use Nuendo for all of my recording, mixing and producing.
Thanks for the help.

Hi there.
If you are looking for software compessors, not much beats the "Waves" series. They come in all sorts of bundles so you get lots of plugs for the buck (Diamond Pack is the bomb!). They also have a "Renaissance" line that is supposed to emulate old-school hardware. They can be a bit CPU heavy though.

Also, I have been very pleased with the "Sonalkis SV-315" and the Sonitus FX Line. And, If you are using Cakewalk/Sonar, the Timeworks Comp and EQ are great and easy on the PC.
