Microsoft Synthesizer as a MIDI device

Does anyone know where I can find a utility to direct MIDI messages to the Microsoft SYnthesizer that comes with directx?
I can use this synthesizer with Cubase (as the "universal sound module" or FLStudio (as "LSD"), but I can't use it with Jammer or media player, since these only communicate using MIDI.
Thanks in advance for any help!
