Axiom 25 and Pro Tools using Absynth 4

When using the Axiom 25 with Absynth 4 as a stand-alone app, it works. When using within Pro Tools it does not.

Absynth 4 does work as a plug in within Pro Tools but cannot trigger anything with keyboard.

Under "input devices..." the keyboard is recognized.

And in my OSX "preferences" it is recognized and passes all tests.

I run a MacBook Pro 10.5 OS, mbox2.

Am I missing an Avid/Digidesign firmware update?

Or am I doing something wrong?

Forgive the stupid question, but do know the procedure for playing VSTIs in Pro Tools? have you ever done it before?
