SSL Soundscape V6

-How long have you been using:
Used since the day of its release (a few years).
Requires a map Mixpander (5 or 9 who have DSP => plugs without latency), or MX4 (ditto => Dsp => No SSL VST latency) or MadiXtreme (but then without DSP effects => no plug DSP, only VST plug-ins running on the power of your PC).

-Tried other models before buying:
I have other DAW (Studio One Professional, Harrison MixBuss, ...) but not really comparable: it is just a software Soundscape recorder, little or no Midi, no click, no VSTI just the Vst "effects".

Special-you love the most:
Stable, fast, simple and effective. In fact, you need to create your table mix, input config, config outputs, and is ready to record!

Record 32 tracks simultaneously (because my config allows only that, but it will evolve in 2013), up to 64 audio tracks "readable" by the program without broaching (with MX4 is up to 128 tracks).

The number of plug "DSP" depends on the model of the card you have. The more powerful the MX4 (which is # 1 on my list to come ...).

The app can also "router" flows on another DAW (Cubase is then recorded on or Protools but using only the "mix" of soft Soundscape, not the "recording.) This does not diminish the fact to use this part "Mix" very good plugs turning on SSL DSP ...

-Value for money
Diificile responding because it must also take into account the rate card AND converters. If the string is consistent, it must then comprarer with other software "tounrant DSP card" => Protools and there is sure it is cheaper. But not MIDI, so to see
