Switch to the summation of two input channels.
It allows you to build a mono signal or 2 signals but also to use the DI for a mono signal and the splitter to 2 mixers (front and back, for example).

Small note: I have not tried, but from the diagram, the DI could also serve as a simple format converter cable: The signal that enters the Jack 1 / 4 "should be released as the CAR as it is .. . even without power supply. And vice versa. As for the XLR IN (unbalanced) ... Well, okay, that's a bit expensive for a cable ... But sometimes it's just a cable that is missing PS ... So much to know, since it's there.

Well casing and solid non-slip pads. Stackable.
Opportunity to put a cable lock like a laptop ...

UTILIZATION

Ben's simple, yes. But complete.
Manual clear and complete.

SOUND QUALITY

I put in parallel with my Radial J48, which is known as a benchmark for active DI box: Clear, highly linear even at very low frequency and very low distortion, even at insane levels, with an active bass coming out high.

Well if you hear a difference, not me!
For me, it's just excellent!

(By comparison, between J48 and BSS133, there is a difference, for example ... And I like the J48.)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it much but it is convenient to have one just in case.

It's a great DI.
And not very expensive for the quality (if you do not forget that it is stereo).
Less expensive than 2 J48, anyway.

I would do this choice without hesitation.

Now I have one, I have personally not need 2.
If I add an ID, it will be different, which adds something like a Radial Duplex. Or Avalon U5 (But she is NOT transparent. And this is precisely what is asked.)

To return to APEX is really one of the best I've used DI.
