Software easy to configure and full view that SoundForge: complete makeover of the interface and especially managing full menu plugins.
Uh ... What is the manual?
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I have a Duron 650, 512MB ram and an SBLive (the Multiface comes next week: nice!), It works flawless.
In fact it starts a row qd I put too much effects like reverbs and LinPlug waves ... that said there's no point to put as <, B
No prb of stability.

It is now 2 or 3 years I dlaiss SoundForge to wavelab and I do not regret my choice, even in comparison with SoundForge 6.
What I like most is the chaining effects and the possibility to change the order of any plugins qd even while playing and you can save all of the effects of rglages 'once the Manir a preset gnral.
In addition, any edition is instant (remember qd dcoupiez you a small sample in a sample of one hour on SoundForge 4 ...).
I have two regrets (that is), the mthode of timestreching too limited and does not have a video window.
That said, the editing audio is excellent and allows a mastering with great precision.
Wavelab is: acquisition, edition, pr-mastering/montage, and engraving. (You can put the CD track markers on the assembly and apply effects, just click render and the CD is ready, left that click burn ...)
In short, I love and miss SoundForge wavelab that has to evolve Manir impressive!
I would do without this choice hsiter!
Basically I love all this software Fmarine with Nuendo ...See less00 - AnonymousPublished on 05/29/04 at 08:18 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Installation is quick simple.
No conflict.
The manual ... .. How to say I did not have to even open it ...
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
Nothing to say, a go anywhere and not even lag.

Everything is there.
SUCCESS00 - moosersPublished on 03/15/09 at 21:16Steinberg Wavelab 4 digital audio mastering software was easy to install as I had no compatibility issues with my computer. I had the software up and running within minutes and the interface of the software is user friendly and easy to figure out. I don't have a manual for this, but it is easy enough to use I never need one. This being said, there are a lot of ins and outs to this program and having the manual could definitely prove to be beneficial.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I have run Steinberg Wavelab 4 on a few different machines, but mostly have used it on a PC lap top - a Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv8000 that has a 3.0 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM. I have used it on a few other PCs as well, all without any issues. Since this is a mastering and restoration piece of software, I don't need to run a lot of tracks at once with this. However, I am able to run as many plug-ins and effects processors as I'd like when using this software. It has always run smoothly on all of the machines that I have used this with.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using the Steinberg Wavelab 4 for the last three or four years. It is an easy program to use, with a lot of power and capabilities. I use it mostly for mastering or for editing stereo audio files, and these types of applications are really what this program is made to do - and it does it well. Steinberg makes some powerful pieces of software that won't cost to much, which makes them a great option for home studio owners. Wavelab 4 won't cost too much when compared to some other mastering softwares. I highly recommend Steinberg Wavelab 4 for mastering and digital audio restoration.See less00
