To complete the view of Peaveycroquette:
3 port option, with a choice of port by eight analog I / O, ADAT, TDIF or AES / EBU.
1 e / s in magneto AES / EBU or SPDIF + 1 e / s in magneto jack
1 MIDI I / O
2 channels of monitoring
BNC word clock in
Optional Meter Bridge
Automation in DA7 internally or via MIDI

With options, the table can accommodate 40 e / s (16 + 24), but you can not mix 'only' 32 channels simultaneously.
I use it with 3 ADAT cards and a 2408: 24 e / s in decision, 24 in the mix.

-1 Because the table does 'that' up to 48khz - it does not bother me, I work in 24 bits / 44.1 (Council of the mastering engineer)

UTILIZATION

Configuration 'basic' very well thought everything was quickly on hand (eq, dynamic routing), without going through 50 menus, the LCD is large, the effective screen, the meter bridge class.

Documentation in French, but so little embarrassingly explicit when one seeks information to further functions (routing of digital I / O, noon, automation ..)... Forum or AF www.da7.com ( http://www.da7.com ) indispensable.

SOUNDS

DA7 before, I had a 01V and had the opportunity to use a 03D, 02R and a DM24.
The DA7 is really one that I seemed to have the best sound: the channel preamp / converter is super clean: no breath, but not of 'narrowing of the' ... and preamps that can really send.
The eq and dynamics are super efficient and music, and made me drop the plug-in.

No other effects - given the quality of onboard effects generally on digital consoles, I pass.
Against aids by 6 (4 analog, 2 spdif: connected with a PC, you have a multi-effects 'plugin' ... great!).

OVERALL OPINION

I use this table for 2 years, and that it make me give up the mix in Virtual I gained in ergonomics and sound.
This is a table rather intended to use studio: it is too cumbersome for the live and has no onboard multi-effects.
on the other hand, for my home studio (electro productions), with no need or want to mix in more than 48 Khz, I found my ideal: paying 1800 euros with all options (meterbridge + 3 adat cards) to 24 tracks in the mix 24/44.1, with a real sound, ergonomics, routing, automation ...

Only problem: it is no longer produced, so the options seem more difficult to find (ebay), and maintenance is no longer assured ...
