The uMIX series features four 8, 12, 16 and 24 channel versions. Each channel has a 56-bit double precision digital signal patch and includes parametric EQ, dynamics and digital effects.
All the mixers are equipped with WiFI and Ethernet router so they can be controlled remotely (including the mic preamps) from a computer, a smartphone or a tablet. No special app is required, control is made via a web browser (SM Pro Audio recommends Chrome or Opera on PC/Mac and Android, and Atomic on iOS). The control GUI will give you access to the mixer, groups, subgroups, mutes and more.
Both large models (uMIX 16 and uMIX 24) also offer additional processing by Waves on the main output (MaxxBass and MaxxVolume). These mixers can also receive a multitrack recording extension card and you can daisy-chain two uMIX 24 with a CAT5 cable and work with a total of 48 channels.
The SM Pro uMIX mixers will be available Q3 2014 with the following prices:
- uMIX Mini: 199.99€ / $249.99
- uMIX 12: 399.99€ / $499.99
