As 01V96 V2, but with good reverb and more.
UTILIZATION
I once had an easy to use digital super (ALLEN & HEATH DL1000) and even if the 01V has a lot more features, you understand quickly the different functions (rarely need to read the documentation, rather well done in passing). The only thing missing for my taste, is at the management level settings that decides to take into account or not in automation: You can choose either managed or not each parameter type, but overall, not track by track. Example: I want all Eq be automated except the electric guitar: It is not possible, it's all or nothing.
SOUNDS
I use it in concert again and 44.1 kHz (the low res of 01V, since in higher resolutions, you lose 2 of 4 multi-effects), and frankly, the sound is better than my old table ( more dynamic, better converters, and various settings (eq, effects ...) more precise).
Compressors board (on each slice) are doing not bad either. I use them on vocals, bass drum, snare, and slightly on the bass and electric guitar and it sounds great (the presets are often provided with a little touch up anyway, and sometimes completely in the west ).
The reverb-specific 01V is more than enough for the live, and other effects quite generally (for phasers, should not expect too much from the console).
Detail: A general equalizer 2x28 or 2x31 bands would not have been refused, because only very essential function that is not present on the 01V. I am happy for the time of the 4 adjustable band on égalo Edge Master and that is enough to cut one or two frequencies generating feedback, but it does not mean to adjust the mix of the acoustic room. I put 9 / 10 for that reason.
OVERALL OPINION
For its price, it is really full (and not too heavy). Who wants a table of good quality, not "too expensive", not too heavy to carry, and which incorporates a bit of everything you need on stage, I'm not sure what else to choose.
