Crack is an excellent price / quality ratio

Sync: noon and smpte (it's old ...).
Jazz and DVD storage (you can also change the hard drive and put in a more powerful abilities)
24 tracks recorded and played back simultaneously. Couldbe the same enslave VS to a computer for sync with cubase!

    UTILIZATION

    Simple configuration (more than Yamaha)
It is a motorized mixer with memory and many rental outlets (locators)
The manual is simple, complete, very déaillé (even for beginners or almost ...).

    SOUNDS

Dynamics and effects are excellent (well done compressors and EQ). Not a breath and opportunities to equip the VS with effects created by specialized companies for VS

    OVERALL OPINION

Ten years I think. The OS has been update and it runs perfectly.
What I like most: the sound and ease of use + robustness. The old stuff when we knew clients.L'automatisme apply for and the opportunity to work and correct what we did without erasing ...
The least ... I'm still looking ... except for the time gravge which is a bit long for nervous hurry
    Qualité_prix report excellent.
Yes, I would buy eyes closed.

Still use it, still love it!

    Samples at 24...

All sorts of sync ability...Wave format ...DVD storage...80GB hard drive and DVD archiving...Has full mastering capability as well as surround sound mixing, etc...VGA output is great...mouse makes it easier to use too...The motorized faders are a nice luxury too!

    UTILIZATION

There's a learning cure for sure...It's steep at the beginning but once you know your way around, it's a very functional box....

There's great compression available on all channels and the FX are all very good...There's even Auto-tune and Lexicon reverbs available...

It's failed on me once...It was a disaster as I didn't have everything backed up....I learned fast!

It's failed on me once...It was a disaster as I didn't have everything backed up....I learned fast!

The manual is very good although it's thick and comes in different versions, User's Guide - Owner's Manual, etc- each with different info...
The saving grace here is Roland's tech support....AWESOME! They've helped me out a ton over the years...

    SOUNDS

Gives you back what you put in....The preamps are pretty good and the recording is smooth and goes without issue...16 tracks at a time....Full mixing automation!

The mastering is something I've only played with but it is quite impressive...If I didn't use a TC Finalizer I would use the VS2480...

The reverbs and other FX are great and blend well....

The available plug-ins are more than I expected and quite impressive...

    OVERALL OPINION

I like its ease of use and functionality most...It's great for recording at home and in the studio...It's a much more solid piece of gear than it gets credit for...It still stands up to its competition albeit with fewer bells and whistles...It's great for giving back what you give it in a creative and functional way....You can't go wrong with these units...If you find one, grab it and give it a whirl...You'll be surprised...

If mine died, I'd buy another...

High quality and a bit dated but still amazing...

For specifications, see the opinion of William f, on the other side
new drive against by apparently with a single burning speed fast enough
but still can burn only 44.1 malhereusemment

    UTILIZATION

    Use
to demarage, pffuiiiit .... it's steep, it should be a manual to learn how to use this
Mannuel of it m 'has had two months to figure out that all were not documments
    the
by saying, that in any case the device has been designed in a way which things become easier, there are many functions and many ways to use it
and we must all eat, after you think more and discover things going, but
    the record to be improved

    SOUNDS

Converters, I'm no expert, I do not know the dynamics at demmarage It's very disappointing, but improving, and if the sound works, after a momment ca pete!
but there is nothing absolumment explained on how to proceed for the sound
in the instructions, making many mistakes to make demarage

sinceremment reellemment effects are crappy (without pity), I have a friend who has a mini korg, you made a peti itches innocuous guitar, you put a reverb or chorus to the sound
Andy Summers for example, and immediately it takes a scope .... clear, clean
of you, looking you tamper with the settings, and then ... nothing convincing, it
systematiquemment better when there is nothing, ditto for the mastering effects, I see no
the interest of making adjustments on each track to give relief to the music if
that's all fuck up with that!
for plug-in is the same, the card vs8f3 is overpriced, if anyone has tried the plugs of other brands, he says, it will not make me believe that Roland can
not do better than that in effect, my ME5 of 15 years ago sounds better than ca
I therefore concluded that it's just to make you buy stuff

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year
what I love: the automix, micromix, the VGA (required for work well)
edition copy and paste the exchange
even when it lacks "region settings" to clip the peak volume in pre fader, one is forced to turn notes into sentences before going to sentence parameters for
db down which increases the manipulations, an update for this function would be well vennue
I like the hard drive, you can make ten albums fingers in the nose and come back a while
time, the storage of all the adjustments for the same back ups on dvd
IT IS one third of dvds on the market that are compatible, and those of
half that during the show backup for the foun anegtote that the purchase was never
walking (error.. operration failed grrrr ....)!!
5.6 pieces can be stored in DVD with all the adjustments equ, panoramic autaumix, ect
after .... dvds, how it old time ...??? better to make several
    backups
I like it: you can never have a tool with all that you lack any option always has ... but to be able to do so you need to buy ca ... ca
and it is expensive, and everything is a blur purchase and they tell you nothing, bring your dough
    and we'll see after

ca has been the same when apareil is fabulous to have AC at home, it's nice
provided they do not sting me with all my components in it
    Voila !!!!!
