Tascam DP-02CF

The Tascam DP 02CF is really great and easy to use with a great price. Only thing you will have to get is a larger CF card if you want to record more than one song. For me the best thing about this recorder is that you can be up and recording in a matter of seconds. I used a computer interface for awhile but it just took too long. Not great for a band, unless you have a mixer, since the recorder only has two inputs. After you are done recording all you do is transfer your work over to your computer and edit and burn a CD. Only down side is there are no on-board effects or reverb but you can only get so much for such a low price.

UTILIZATION

The Tascam DP 02f system has a great sound. I run all my guitars, acoustic and electric, through my half stack head and straight to the recorder. It gets a really nice sound to it. My electronic drums record very well too. One thing that I had to figure out was that after recording, realizing i don’t like the track, re-doing it and recording again. the system saves each recording so u can go back and pick it if you decide u liked it. so when you're done recording, you must delete the history or it will take up a lot of memory

OVERALL OPINION

If you are looking for a quick, easy, and cheap way to record your music, at CD quality, fast then check out this unit .It's a great machine, and eight tracks gives me more than enough to lay down two or three voices and still have room for five instruments. The downside or thing that I dislike about the Tascam DP 02cf is that the navigation is difficult sometimes, because you will have to hold 1 button to get to a certain screen and hit another one at the same time. I just feel like that is too much for a little screen like this.

UTILIZATION

Easy to use although the manual is needed quickly.

I got it for 355 euros with some low-end equipment available, and I think another type ministudio either would have cost too much, or I would have lost in unnecessary functions for me.

I use it to record bass, guitar and voice in home studio. Trs is easy to use, one branch, we select the track and on RECORD.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few days, this product correcpond done everything I expected. He is not crammed with optional equipment such as boss (ie, box, multi-rate effects and tuners), I think it's an advantage, we quickly found there. Also, I have prfre a device that records properly and a box of quality that a shuffled rhythm of two who would not do well.

UTILIZATION

Operation is very simple! One branch and recorded. Just assign the entry to one of the 8 available tracks. (Keep in Stereo first for the final mix). I'm sorry the only entrance for a microphone. Otherwise, the menus are easily accessible, just an hour to learn to use it. Count a little more for the functions of Cut, Loop, ...
The manual is quite clear though often lacking information because els are either nonexistent or poorly explained. Thank God for internet and forums = P

I use a microphone Apex 135 and I am very happy with the sound coming out of the Tascam.
it's not professional models but to make it widely, more than enough.
The effects on the DP02 CF, there is not necessary to add a small multi-purpose.
I think the dynamics are respected! Really happy with the sound for the price of the recorder!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4 months and I am satisfied! No problem with the moment except that I toasted my card!
What I like most is the ease of recording.
What I like least is the "difficulty" of export of computer. You can not use it while it is connected to the computer and the time of conversion. WAV is a bit long but nothing to worry about. Must find fault =).
I use Cubase because in addition to the tracks are mostly inadequate.
Very good quality / price ratio.
If it again I think I buy the same. Perhaps a recorder with more tracks like the Korg D3200 (not the same price as S =)
