USE

The configuration is VERY simple.
The manual is clear like the examples DIFFERENT recording of a song that are very well explicits. Nothing to do with Roland products and it is often a total horror in terms of rgonomie!
All functions are quickly becoming hyper logical and intuitive.

SONORITS

The converters offer 115 dB dynamic.
effects and filters very good bills. Must still register the correct instruments with chaining Pramp + compressor + eq of good quality.
If this is the case, this device offers a dynamic pro not only semi-pro ...
Unless we call "100koukaille" and to have made an opinion that to break the rating of this unit (to be able to buy it one day!), I do not see what we can blame this stuff! the sound is terrible!

Seriously I think (after years of navigation to DIFFERENT logs like CUBASE, LOGIC ... PROTOOLS etc ...) that this solution dfinitivement remains the simplest and most efficient. No need to stack machines that are not built by the same manufacturer ... everything is in and the excuse of may 6 albums commercialiss in 3 years! Raliss entirely with this machine!
I have even Ratchet another ...
Do not hesitate ... go ... plus it never fails!

- THE numrique studio. Take one of the famous mixers like the Yamaha numriques O1V, add four multi-effects of greater quality compressor / limiter on each indpendants cannal, 24bit AD converters good, ample hard drive and a soft int gr for every conceivable rglages, you got to know the Yamaha AW2400.
- It is possible to record 16 tracks simultaneously (with optional cards MY4) in 16bit 44khz and 24bit 44khz 8 tracks. It is also possible to record 48khz (for those interress's). For what it is to reproduction can do 24 tracks in 16 bit and 12 in 24 bits. I think more than enough.
- All connections are Submitted (+ USB2 to connect the PC or Mac) and if necessary option cards are available.
- The big plus other multi-compartment (such as Korg D32XD) is the quality of the converters, the possibility to use the AW2400 as a mixing desk for live (MY4DA Card) and that n ' There is no limitation in recording time.

UTILIZATION

- Using the AW2400 is fairly intuitive. As a former owner of a AW16G I found myself immediately. Strengths as the Automix function to record in real time (or point to point) all changes rglages while playing a piece suchas faders, pan, effects, EQ ...
- All functions are clearly rpart in groups on the entire surface of the device. The screen is large and trs allows a perfect visualization of diffrent actions.
- All the paths are clearly audible REPRESENTATIVES graphically, as well as EQ and dynamics.
- No need to paramtrer stuff or spend a fun Journe looking for the right plugin on your PC. It takes a few minutes and is ready to make its decision.

SOUNDS

It's simple. With a good condenser microphone AKG C414B as XII or a Neumann, it's like to return, a sort (see more).
We can talk about sound because there is no dgradation the sound signal. It's perfect as a large studio with full racks and filters.

OVERALL OPINION

I just bought the bte, I'm really happy. Fawn any Yamaha is a value sre in this area.
The first recorded song worthy of a silent master of U2, nothing can foresee that this is a recording made at home.
If you and your home-studioiste you wanted to have taken sound worthy of the name, will soon get it. If, against you make your decision prfrez sounds with a sound card and equipment worth computer music skin c. .. and spend months trying to fix this or that frquence, add tons of plugins to finally have a deep and dynamic sound without then free you.

Musically

Very complete level connections, the port usb2 more transfers and edits directly to and from a PC ... Note 24-bit, the AW2400 actually creates internal 32-bit audio files that are themselves manipulated directly from the PC with software that can handle 32-bit, the only constraint: do not change the file name!
I have the machine for 1 month, I admit at first a "mouse" I missed ... but in the end we made buttons and the wheel ...
12 tracks in 24-bit read and 8 Simultaneous recording. (16-bit, 24-track ...)

UTILIZATION

Having worked on PC and software computer music, it is not at all bothered by the interface of the machine, in fact we are left with screen pages, tabs, options, etc ... needs to be changed, select or activate and validate with an "Enter" key ... I repeat, it really lacks a mouse with this machine!
In addition we take easily manipulated force automation ...

That makes one month that I have!
The characteristic I like least, I know I am rehashing, but is the lack of a mouse!
One feature I like most and made me choose the AW2400 AW1600 instead, because the motorized faders when mixing and this from experience is a priceless comfort (Automix , which is not limited to this dailleurs, pan, EQ, effects, etc ... are also editable in self progressively as the song).
For the price (now around 1890 euros in France), and the quality of the result we can expect, I do not regret this investment, and expects to acquire a good AKG C 414 B-XL II to complete this configuration.

UTILIZATION

Everything is simple, the configuration seems to me rather like the pro v 1 0 consoles from Yamaha. Two charges, circumvented with practice (see forums:

Many dynamic and transparent. Sound Fidler what is recorded. This machine is a reminder that the composition, sound and music quality dpendent exclusively for work and pleasure antrieurs recording. For it is a superb all-in-one that will fill you within your work and adding the ncssaire (compression heads on the slopes, 4-band equa idem and effects of quality needed, rverbs and others).

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it in 2006 (Fvrier) and was able couraging an album with ( http://www.myspace.com/victimasdelasuerte ) over many projects. I love the friendly, direct cot trs work possible by the aw 2400.
I work on Cubase test recently, and despite the ease of shipping empty musical squence bcp a more powerful impact in the millions, I returned the solution that allows me not to get lost in a world populated by thousands plugs I want! I mpris "gure" the computer for music, but finds the work more enjoyable, musical and instinctive with the AW2400.
Pays 2100 euros, it is found used for 1300, which is more a case I believe!
Ps: I do not understand the opinion of "100koukaille" or at least find it too ... but think that the failure to find some features available to the aw of 4416 was! Damage, with the patient he could get used to and enjoy this new machine and its benefits.
PS RE: Be careful with the sale of hardware in some countries. There are small "mafias" who invent well organized socity, banks, plans to make you believe that you are contributing good deeds by selling them and sending your stuff.
