Connectors: 8 6.35 including 2 / 2 XLR phantom power supply with 48v (I think they are class A) + 2 bays options like 8 or 4 trs xlr or tascam adat or card or AES / EBU or wave effects etc, etc, etc.. (there are plenty of optional extensions made by other houses for yamaha
spdif i / o + + plug socket scsi host for eg Iomega external word clock out + in + jack & mouse foot sw + + phone + 3 pm (out, in, through) + 8 outputs trs jacks ....
In short .. the jungle!
Sampling: 16 to 24 bits / 44 to 48 khz
HDD: most laptops are hard to do! (Incredible compatibility and openness!) At maximum height of 64 go (but hey, it takes quite a record of 80 free points.) Disc at 4200 r / min but some talk about 7200 t / min while a check.
Tracks: 8 +8 +8 = 24
UTILIZATION
Configuration is very simple the doc is clear (at least in mine, everything is clear)
The functions are very very intuitive and the ergonomics are top (the exact opposite of ... in R. d!) is little more editing shortcuts using the keys (the OS internal'd think a LINUX by his side "freestone" when those of competing machines evoke WINDOWS / MAC by the inability to do what you want as you want!)
The manual includes a tutorial nickel
SOUNDS
This machine has the best digital converters that I know of in this price range / machines
Internal calculations in 32 bit!
105 db dynamic!
The effects are correct at pros.
OVERALL OPINION
Having been in my possession this summer, I recorded with, six tracks and it was a treat.
not with more use, I sold it because my work now requires to be masteuriser with the help of professionals in this business.
I tried the competition, but vs1600 R. ... d me colored completely wrong and through! COSM home ... toys r 'us!
Digital clicks!, Its approximate brief reputation ballonée / upgraded!
No, this toy is not suitable for a working pro (to be recoverable by the studio!)
While the Yamaha may seem cold but it all depends (again) of what is to plug. It is sure that with a pair of AKG C414 microphones xls and preamp, compressor, eq, or a Joemeek twinq Mindprint tube downstream, it will really put the bad will not to achieve its goals .. .
value for the current price is still crazy!
