UTILIZATION

The manual is clear surtt the reference guide. dj I worked on 02R, I had no dificult to grip. logic of true split console / monitor. routing suprieurement Designed and usable. well-served sliced stroke 4-band EQ settings. and dynamics processing. behavior and dyn eq. satisfactory.
not really a machine for beginners.
ergonomics and human conventions "audio" well suprieure the pc software and a lot of emachines "home studio".
The menu navigation is correct. edition of the tracks simple and effective, but requires rigor of eWork not to engage in back and forth between menus.

SOUNDS

The dynamic is average.
the A / D converters are transparent but pramplis are bland and lack of reserves of eGain.
the sound is clean but lacks a bit of prsence.
When possible, I lestramp bypasses and records via an pramp presonus blue tube.
internal effects are useful but not extraordinary
EQs are eficaces and much better than the 02R.
I love the dynamic treatments (ts of the channels, except effects returns), they are nervous and aggressive. trs good on individual tracks, they are useful for the treatment moisn overall mix.

OVERALL OPINION

I use S ince 2001. I had it in version 1.1, free MIDI (came with the v 2.0) tt silent and excruciatingly slow!.
trs v 2.0 is the point, however.
I like the routing of the console, flexible and practical. the simplicity of the functions of publishing. the eq, dynamics processing, automation faders with motoriss

I prfr 100 mm faders

I like least: The time stretch systmatiquement which cuts the treble. scsi errors of the drive. the fact that Yamaha has ceased head update, the manufacture of burners coompatibles and no longer support any user.
this one is entiremnt provided by individuals. Note: an excellent freeware PC, unwanted by dvellopp amricain, which can extract the wave of the backup CD format yamaha. this function is available on the machine, but to efaon trs slow and rigid.
I have not tried many other products of this type. just the Roland VS1680, which seemed odd ergonomics.

The quality price ratio in 2001 (price "full pot") silent boundary, given the slow pace of surtt ela v1.1.
secondhand today, it is well worth its rating. ttefois noted the problem of the drive scsi, more manufactured (or any compatible MODEL).
e ESTC I would do this choice? frankly I do not know, but I do not regret it.
ts in the case, I would stay on machines ddies, although suprieures to software reliability in terms of ease of work, flexibility, not to mention the strong over a pc.
I dj party Save 400 km of my home in a cold cellar for a week. the machine did not move ....
