UTILIZATION

Fazioli piano, Pro version

I use the Fazioli on an old PC (P4 3.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM) with the ISP (Imperfect Samples Player, basic drive module) and no problem. Even with 2 GB of RAM, it turned nickel but of course, no question of type 300 notes with sustain pedal because then it ends necessarily win.

Installation super crappy in my case

Imperfect Samples Fazioli the are no boxed / DVD must grab the sample banks (7 packages of 1.77 GB and 526 MB). Of course, some downloads foirent (even using Firefox recommended accessory: DownloadThemAll) be repeated, it quickly becomes boring. Incidentally, it seems that the download is imperative to do with Firefox, if I remember correctly (check).
Then, when everything is downloaded, unzipped archive with Winrar. Ok then download an update because nothing works. And finally, after quibble for hours and found that elements are missing and others do not work, and after exchanging with Matt Stedeford (Imperfect Samples) a few emails a bit edgy, miracle, everything starts to work. Why? How? I know. The PC has probably had enough to take shots godasse in the face.
Warning, the install may have been borked my home that I use the ISP rather than NI Kontakt player style.

It is clear, I will not steal it Fazioli piano. He pisses bars for a few days and the guy Matt has understood. So, he decided to pay me back, plain and simple. It's still not as common reaction, right? But I told him that in the end, everything worked nickel, I'm happy with this piano and I want nothing to do but pay the guy Matt has decided to reimburse me, it pays.
Of course, I told him his money back because not only has he answered each of my emails seeking a solution to every problem but in addition, it is a nice little independent and honest. Very honest. If I had this kind of problem with Native Instruments or other, not sure I would have gotten help as eager and reimbursement issue, I would probably have to make me look elsewhere.

SOUNDS

Qualities / defects Imperfect Samples Fazioli Pro

First, I'm not a pianist. I sometimes tinker sequences piano is not really the same thing. Then I few points of comparison. An old Ibach (piano real wood with strings. Lol) that sounds terrible and well potbellied, a Yamaha with a friend (that sounds a bit too metallic for my taste.'s Piano, not the friend), the either very average sample bank (NI Kompakt, Garritan Jazz, Yamaha A4000 ...), a Bösendorfer EastWest (I do not) and a PMI Bösendorfer 290 (not bad).

PMI Bösendorfer 290 compared to, I think the Fazioli sounds much more realistic. Normally, the PMI is only 2 GB, the Fazioli in fact 17 is a bit crappy as comparison but hey, I compare with what I have.
Nevertheless, in a mix loaded, clear sound of Bösendorfer easier to pass than the Fazioli, which is pretty dull. But in a soft component, where there is room for each instrument, the sound warm and full of Fazioli still has a wild look and small mechanical noise, recorded with the samples, add a lot of realism.

Ok, this is not really Fazioli piano mirobolatoire I thought (perhaps lacking a bit of character, personality, grain?) But I would perhaps impossible, and once again, I'm not pianist. Anyway, for a hundred dollars, I find this very convincing piano. Played alone, without accompaniment, hard to tell if it is recording a good piano (with good microphones) or in the case of samples. After that, love it or do not like the sounds of pianos plump, full, rich in the bass and mid-bass and moderate brightness issue but there is question of taste. For me anyway, good for the service, Imperfect Samples Fazioli. Imperfect samples and lively! Thanks, Matt!

OVERALL OPINION

Features I like the most:
Realism (small noise), warm, ample. IMPECC composed for soft and intimate.

Features that I like:
Its a bit dull (correctable to EQ).
The fact that each load, you must tell the ISP the path to the sample banks. No big deal, there are only two ways to indicate in general, but there are 8 when it comes to sound effects FX!

Price / quality ratio: Excellent. If there are more, I do not know.

With experience, you do again this choice? Probably yes.
