Expander of the famous Korg Trinity, but with more sounds! (See above specifications)!

UTILIZATION

Korg when you know we found it easily, the screen is very large for an expander and not need glasses to see clearly! The buttons are very small on the other hand but react bien.Le manual is clear, no surprises.Pour edition of the sounds, it is not worth a PC, but thanks to the size of the screen (no buttons, small! ) we found it well!

SOUNDS

Excellent! I have a Korg Triton TR but also really sounds best to me, sounds powerful and rich with very good dynamique.Ma preference on synth leads and pads, pianos are less good, the strings very well and good dynamic for orchestral sounds. The number of sounds is impressive (especially since the device was released in 1997!). This rack has a real personality sound (like the Wavestation) in my opinion.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for now (several hours) but I have enough expanders / synths so I can get a good idea of ​​the machine in comparison.

I like synthetic sounds and webs, then I'm thrilled!
the least: the piano (but not the height of Korg ... especially for a device of 97).

Quality / price excellent when we spotted a good opportunity, the unit is worth (cost!) Is undeniable!

I remake that choice of course!

Sound generator in 19-inch 1U rack containing 4 x 128 sounds Combi mode and 4 x 128 sounds in Program mode = 1024 sounds in all! ^ ^ This is the rack version of the Korg Trinity.

SOUNDS

While there, the highlight of the sound generator is indeed the acoustic instruments: guitars - electric guitars - electric bass - wind instruments (flutes, flute, pan flute) - Accordions - Acoustic drum kits, and especially the organ are crying so realistic )))) Perfect for rock bands - hard rock - jazz ^ ^

As for the purely synthetic sounds, it's a little less clear: they are a little dry air. For the pianos, they are, certainly, but I would rather my Alesis QSR to do with realism as bluffing.

I do not sound entandu GM and / or XG: it does not integrate them? This would be a pity. I see him well in his further study.

OVERALL OPINION

For the price (I bought used for only 450 CHF - approx. 280 euros !!!), I do not regret. This module gives me the sounds of his acoustic rock - jazz I'm missing in my assortment of sounds ^ ^ And these are stunning realism ^^^^^ And in addition, it is only 1U high and that's an advantage, especially at the price where the rack cabinet ^ ^

Sounds of Trinity are wonderful, including the sounds of orchestras.
Dynamic and profound. Super catch! the pianos are also staggering. The SL 880 afertouch gives expressive phenomenal! Baterie kits are excellent too ...

OVERALL OPINION

Use since 1999 with a SL 880 in master keyboard, which was the configuration "extended piano" the least expensive at the time.
Cubase is more perfect.
Today I have less time, and if I had to redo a choice, it would be a keyboard sequencer to ... rapid implementation.
For use with PC, you still have to spend a little time to get a basic MIDI configuration by manually assigning the midi channels. But ... it's not very hard.

The FX are difficult to use. Sound programming is very complicate. When in multi-mode sound quality goes down significantly.

Easy to use and navigate patches. Comes with own patch editing software and computer interface.

SOUNDS

The hottest sounds since MOOG. Same sounds found on Trinity with extras! Extreme high quality

OVERALL OPINION

Sturdy enough to gig. attach to your keyboard and hit the road! beware- sound quality goes down when you attempt to use more than one patch at a time. Customer support is practically non-existant, so find a user group and fire your questions over thier way.

Excellent machine for studio use. When you need all of the sound on the Trition and Trinity boards one at a time. Save 1000 bones and pick up the rack unit!
