«  Good keyboard, but it's not a synth »

Published on 05/02/12 at 01:29
49-key keyboard, some effects (no delay) which attack, release, reverb, cutoff which I can not say the quality (not great I would say), a pitch wheel, modulation of another. 192 presets and 64 128 GM EMU, not editable, but the sounds are EMU (Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and some analog)

UTILIZATION

Very simple to use, just spend 5 minutes on the manual to make it good, because the sounds are not editable, even if it's gotta be a way ...

The manual is clear and sufficient, the effects are played directly on dedicated knobs (knobs that many effects)

SOUNDS

The sounds are nice, but not editable, so apart from playing on the cutoff is quite difficult to do what we want. The gain is very low, the keyboard has a hard time feeding AKG 272HD, forced to put his bottom is not top ... The keyboard is noisy but otherwise this is correct, several velocity curves ...

OVERALL OPINION

Very easy to use as a master keyboard if it does not concern itself with knobs, I use it for about a month .. I have not tried any model before.

I like the sound is on them but they are not editable is a wound ... So I bought an Akai Miniak to have a real synthesizer ...

I like the sounds that are above and price!

I do not like her evolving capacities zero.

For a semi weighted 49-key keyboard with integrated sound it is hard to beat, but for use in master keyboard is better to take a keyboard with lots of configurable knobs. For sounds, buy an expander may be more profitable ...

With the experience I would do that choice, I made this choice to fast, do not really making me realize that it was not a synthesizer, I have taken a direct Miniak or perhaps even a M-Audio Venom ..
