Denon DJ had this brilliant idea with the DS1, a small tool for turntablist DJs that is introduced this weekend at NAMM 2015.
The Denon DJ DS1 is a digital audio interface that is designed for Serato NoiseMap, the control system for the Serato DJ digital music collection from a turntable or CD player. Ultra compact, it can be easily stored in a bag with the rest of your setup (it’s smaller that an average smartphone).
The DS1 features a USB port that powers the device and communicates with Serato DJ. Two pairs of RCA stereo inputs are also available so that you can connect your turntables and CD players and two pairs of RCA stereo inputs will serve for sending the sound to a mixer or PA. The audio resolution is 24-bit / 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz.
The Denon DS1 ships with two Serato NoiseMap vinyls and CDs, USB and RCA stereo cables. MSRP is $299.99.
