Ion Audio release the U Cast podcast kit.

The Ion U Cast podcasting kit simply connects to your USB port and enables you to record personalised broadcasts that can be uploaded onto any social networking site such as MySpace, Facebook, Bebo or your own website.

Simply connect the microphone to your USB port and download the software CD. Next, open the icon on your desktop, press record and you’re ready to roll. You can host your own talk show, demonstrate your DJ skills or make like a movie critic. When you’re done, press stop and save. Now you’re ready to broadcast your message to the world

Each kit comes with a professional-grade microphone with stand, headphones, USB cable and editing software, which is compatible with both Windows and Mac OSX systems. Users can also take advantage of the pod cast hosting software www.alesispodcast.com, which allows you to have your pod casts listed on iTunes® and podcast alley. The software is available on a 30-day trial and then you can sign up for the monthly subscription fee of $5.

The Ion U CAST costs £59.99.
