Gemini DJ unveiled its FirstMix DJ MIDI controller at NAMM 2011.
The FirstMix is a beginner’s entry to the DJ realm. The FirstMix uses your Mac or PC and your music collection to enable you to DJ parties and events. It is a DJ MIDI controller with a standard USB connection that comes bundled with MixVibes CROSS LE performance DJ software.
The FirstMix recreates the two-decks-and-a-mixer setup of professional DJs. You can load your tracks to either Deck A or Deck B on the MixVibes CROSS LE software, and then control it, cue up the start point, and perform advanced transitions and scratching.
The FirstMix has DJ controls such as tone controls and sync so you can mix two tracks creatively and match the tempo. Additionally, it comes with an effects section.
Pricing & Availability
The FirstMix will be available through musical instrument, electronics, and DJ retailers, at a suggested street price of $79.95. It will be shipping worldwide Q1 2011.
