as I received a few requests I start.
- I use it since I changed my config for Imac quadcore (ie with a pentium 4 it could work with 2GB ram tt but still too unstable (crunches, swings, followed the pc too bad ) with the mac integration plug and play, just like traktor pro 2.5 (comes with S2), quality apple and Native Instruments. going perfectly together. If your computer is powerful enough, everything goes well. Installation is bug free, without lugging 30min on site for drivers recent OS X instantaneously.
- The surface is recognized usb 2. there is a fairly well done wizard wizard that guides you through the installation of your devices (other control surface, vestax, numark, pioneer .. possible, besides it not recognize evil and allows mapping facilities) for s2 is the Traktor certified so all controls respond INSTANTLY (happiness). Same conclusion. Pamphlets / diagram showing the color very nice features and connections are supplied in the box. (Native thank you!)
- I have not tried the other controller (with jogs etc.. Similar) except store to see manufacturing (plastic, less good. Except pioneer good or what is allen and heath, but of course it is more expensive). - Jogs are soft, super good match, very little latency as the buffer / selected settings .. and they are not cheap. I also pilot itunes (just for listening / main volume S2) because my saffire 24dsp is not yet arrived, I use the s2 as an internal audio interface to maximize the sound of a youtube video for example. Warning it can hardly replace a sound card such mao (very few connectors).
- Other interest traktor pro: integration (mac) to iTunes directly in the library of traktor to choose your tracks when you mix (which is what 90% of dj, I watched Magda at rex club the other night choose its tracks) Namely, the S 2 has a clickable knob allows you to send the selected track on deck A or deck B (we choose in the list, up down, turning) and click: it sends the track on a particular platinum (button A and B is right next door) practice! everything is intuitive.
- Traktor "analysis" tracks before your loader in each deck (deck). It does not train, but in my old pc it took ages: so make sure you have 2 or 4GB of ram. I probably add to 4GB to 8GB of ram go on the imac).
- Excellent value for money, yes I remake this choice, but if you have a budget S4 is probably worth (more inputs and outputs, filter, phono preamps for platinum (because only regret I have well connected vinyls). on s2 can connect a mic in front or hear the cue mix on headphones, with the volume of course.
- Tjs settings are not the wealthiest in the audio setup 'of traktor but I have not used enough stupid pr criticize the simplicity of the parameters (that is it is a very simple setup not sure !

- To repeat, in the price range I think this is the best! it offers many pads, integrated effects .. does not scratch the tilter the computer (but that it has also the power mac, that we may authorize to your multicore processors, I think my quadcore help I'm not sure that using traktor up to 4 cores but at least 2).
- I recommend the product to their native usually serious. I read a lot of tests before taking course.

I would do this choice without hesitation!

After a year of daily use, a 30aine evenings the gear has not changed, no sizzling knobs / faders, no game in the disc tray.
UMIX control mixvibes pro / VCI 100.
The main feature is the full compatibility between software and hardware. Note that this is really the highlight of native instruments.
The EQ is good but I would have liked to see in the way Nuo or another the ability to cut all frequencies when the knobs are at zero. but it's really the only negative. Attention, equalization is not the height of a good mixer (Allen & Heath, Pioneer or eclerc)

I remake this choice because there is no real equivalent for me in this format. Otherwise you have to go with the Pioneer TT1.

I use it for one month and this is my first controller, who had CDJ1000 I was a little apprehensive about the quality of this material in terms of finishes and reaction (I had not seen until now that controllers Beringher and Hercules with friends turning with Virtual DJ and it was not really broke).
But having made me a friend tried the Kontrol X1 I could see the strength and the response time and mix on traktor I was amazed, so I therefore made the plunge.

What is really significant at first glance is the price, € 499 for a table with 2 votes 4 effects simultaneously insertable, a controller loops on the fly and a sound card in all its footprint size, I BANCO said!

Where my old set of pionneer + mixer + box asks you to effect a safe not too small for a trip taken + the fact of having to type the connection, the Kontrol S2 will tune nicely in a corner of the car and will plug in 2 seconds via USB on your laptop. It's nice, no need to empty the car buddies!

The sound quality is really ideal, the map is really great job and transcribed really well, it's feeding even at high volume and saturate with sounds.

In the controls, ba nothing to say, everything is at hand, the effects are selected on the screen with the mouse and manipulate the knob on the front of the controller.
The jogs are really good, coming from the cdj 1000 I had an understanding when to hit well and they are great, the smaller sizes is not a problem and it is reactive.
The ability to create loops to automatically take over the beat is really great and opens up significant opportunities in two clicks.
The ability to calibrate its track pitch to delight aficionados of old vinyl, the ability to auto-sync in the past is significant and also allows all comers to be able to play easily and old to concentrate on his game rather has work his pitch.
