I'm a beginner DJ, Vestax as well say that satisfies me completely. I use it with Traktor 2 DJ and Audio on Mac (never had a single problem, no crashes, nothing).
Grip ultra fast, just a little time to assimilate things (including the cues and effects that I find pretty damn bad on the template provided by Vestax) but we made it.
At the object itself, it exudes strength (all metal). It weighs his weight but is super fun to use.
For evenings, it's just happiness, a good backpack with the laptop, controller, sound card and headphones around his neck and go!
In addition there is a strong community around the VCI-100. Full of tips and tricks, templates ...
The only thing that I dislike about this turntable, the controls are a bit close to each other, not cool for my big fingers.
Then the 4-band equalizer per deck (high, high mid, low mid, low) that I find relatively useless (and I also remapped into a 3-band equalizer which made me win a knob).
Before buying I tested the Numark Omni Control of Hercules and a controller (those guys) and nothing to do. I think I am right in saying that we reached the professional here.
At the price, I hit 250 euros on ebay (platinum purchased in February 2010 by the first owner, so new). Suffice to say that I jumped at the chance. Therefore 100% satisfied on this point.
At 400 euros in stores, it is still worth the shot (quality / price ratio still okay) but for me it was literally impossible financially.
With experience, I referre this choice. In this price range you really can not get any better. Next step, the true Pioneer, but I still have time
