Simple config? no
The manual? super clear
Editing sound effects or easy? er ..... I do not think so
SOUNDS
The sounds agree with your style of music? YESSSSSS
The expression is good? (Response to velocity, aftertouch)? YESSSSS
Are they realistic? You must roll up your sleeves, but the result is worth it.
OVERALL OPINION
DR880 I bought this a few years ago.
And I always use it.
Besides all the technical descriptions, opinions (good or bad), I'll just bring back a phrase said to me after a concert I did with my colleague as guitarist "It's unfortunate that your drummer and your bassist are not with you. "
Indeed, there are a multitude of ways to "humanize" how to play the drum pads and bass (ghost notes ...)
