It can also connects to Spotify so you can mix the songs available on this online platform.
The XW-DJ1 is battery-powered and a speaker is built-in.
For those who need to create EDM, house, trap or hip hop grooves, the XW-PD1 Groove Center uses the same audio engine as on the XW series of synthesizers and includes patterns, drum sounds as well as DSP effects (roll, filter, bit crusher, break and pitch shifter). The portable module features 16 velocity-sensitive pads, 4 knobs, 2 faders, 16 buttons around the pads and various control buttons. You can also play samples captured from a mic or an audio player and record sequences in real time.
Note that both controllers can work together: by connecting the XW-DJ1 audio output to the XW-PD1 audio input, you can remix the performance by using the functionality of each model.
The XW-DJ1 will be available this month for the US price of $299. You’ll have to wait until March to discover the XW-PD1, which MSRP is $399.
