I have a Tama Starclassic including GC 24, and 4 toms, 12, 13, 15, 16.

How long have you use it?

I use this drumkit soon for 5 years, every week, in concert, in the studio, rehearsing.

Have you tried many other models before buying it?

I had several batteries before, such as custom yamaha advantage and a Mapex Saturn series.

What is the particular feature you like best and least?

I really liked the sound of the drums, very serious, very deep, with good attack and sustain a fairly resonable. I use skins Remo Emperor clear top, which gives a fairly modern sound, very fat and very powerful.

She has brought joy to my sound engineer who knows very well and the music for the concert or recording 5 min chrono, because the sound is very pure and do not be unsightly resonances.

What I like least on my model, it is the bass suspended toms which certainly offer better sound toms up less stifled, but are fairly restrictive to install (it must be attached to a rack or a cymbal stand strong because they each weigh a dead donkey ...)

It still remains a fairly minor point if MEAN sound monster!

The value for money is good enough in 2014, can we find them less than € 2,500 for a high-end drumkit of this quality, it is very interesting.
If it again I would not hesitate

Bought the set(BD, 3 Rack Toms, 2 Floor Toms)new in Canada. Took just over 4 months for the custom ordered sizes, and color, Crimson Fade, with brushed nickel hardeware, to arrive.


As to be expected. Top quality, rich warm sound, with a good high end attack due to the cast rims. Starcast mounts do a very good job isolating the shell from the stand hardware. The drums sound awesome, and they are beautiful to look at.


So far, nothing with the drums themselves, although the packaging was poor. They each came in a plastic bag in a box. Not really any other type of cushioning. One tom had been dropped, or hit, and the cast rim was severely bent, requiring a new one... not in stock in North America, so another 3 months for that.

They are well made, have perfect bearing edges, and finish is impeccable. The laquer job is equal to the best you will find anywhere.

Expensive as hell, and had to wait forever(plus now having to wait for a rim), but they are top of the line drums, and you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

I use this hardware since 1998, I never had any complaints to make, only pseudo-ings sounds complaining about the power and rsonnance wondering systmatiquement any gaffer. I say "pseudo" because I had the opportunity to record the SAE Aubervilliers (for those who know), and his-ings taient delighted with the purity of sound, without any parasite, very easy and sound to record. It's really a high-end rev, I think much more equivalent to DW Chréa (but this is only my opinion, and also of some vendors of many well known stores Pigalle), and quip Evans Genera G1 or G2 is a rgal, velvet, honey, the game is as comfortable as a luxury sofa. I-2 large boxes of 22 "x18" toms 10 ", 12", 13 "and 14" suspended, deep mdium, a floor tom 16 "x16" snare drum and the corresponding kit, which pte any place, time, rverb 'natural rooms ... In short, one molleux, powerful, with real notes and sustain without nasty harmonics. And big-box ...

Hello something I rarely do is to c advice on the material but I throw myself without hesitation because the drumkit is superb!
It's been several years played the batt and the stuff that I achte: Sonor Delite, yamaha maple, and that's ... I'm just cracking sound is of a clarity and a superb round . l I bought three weeks ago when I took it out of the box it already rang top (without a key stroke).
For me the price n lev is not justified but compared to some high-end.
Without hesitation I would do this over the choice of colors that I have chosen is ancient natural burst c is again superb as all the finishes of the batt. I understand his succsa through the ages ..........

The particular feature I like most is that a drumkit is super versatile, I play with, Jazz, like the very heavy metal. No, bad remark on the drumkit.

Yes, I tried a lot of MODELS, including Yamaha Oak Custom, Pearl Reference, Sonor Delite, and Tama Starclassic Bubinga ... And Starclassic, Maple, is the most versatile of all.
How do you report qualitprix?
The price is compltement, MRIT this drumkit is a gem.
