Micro dynamic bass drum, little known in France.
A microphone that goes down very low in the bass, with lots of fat, although the harmonics mug with a kick down significantly compared to a beta 52, a D112 or 602. A sound that is nothing modern (hardcore / metal and others go your way) and can be significantly closer to a ribbon.
Tried with a big box of 20 tama. The Beta 52, excellent microphone, however, was too "hard" and percussive. The DAC placed about 40cm from the skin of resonance ... and it begins to slip in from 60 to 70's with a sound that can address Led Zep, where skin feels more vibrant than slamming ... The DAC coupled with a sm57 this combination more relevant than the beta (with respect to the musical style mentioned above).
OVERALL OPINION
Excellent value for money, if the style of music is well targeted as it is versatile microphone.
