Micro specializes in the reproduction of bass instruments.
Micro Dynamic small-cap (despite appearances).

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this micro-hand a year ago and a half.

It is compact and easily habitable even in a GC whose skin resonance has a hole of small diameter.

It is rarely the preferred sheets. In my opinion, this is because it is quite versatile in the style of music (and bass drum) to which it affects, it may find its limits (metal, hard, etc. ..). It is important to note that current microphones for bass drum (or bass amp, tuba, etc. ..) has a frequency response "appropriate". Traditionally, the agreement of a GC is around 80 Hz, which is why our dear sensors are inflated to 100 Hz. This is convenient in most cases and you naturally feel that the microphone "sounds" without you having to intervene on the console ... Depending on the musical context, the local nature of the instrument sets, stars competing (beta 52, Audix D6, D112) may find themselves in a bad position. In my opinion, without a miracle, the E602 you out of business while other sensors ruin your benefits ... but it is only my opinion! This versatility coupled with the price were my criteria for purchase, not to toil in the balances in bar or small rooms which are difficult acoustics, or sound recording of GC with different qualities and different tunings. It can sometimes "bleed" in this case you will solve the problem in 80% of refining its position.

I was fortunate to work with: D12, D112, MD421, RE20, Beta 52.

This excited me micro its price / quality ratio (mostly used).

According to the same criteria of versatility and price, I do it again this choice. Remember that brands typically offer guaranteed term of your investment. Used with an E602, you go for years of peace at the cost of an entry-level competitor or model "made in Pascher" ... take your pick.
