Sennheiser will present new microphone customization options at the NAMM 2009 show, with the launch of chrome and chrome color mic personalization options.
The company recently introduced a selection of Sennheiser mic skins, for evolution wireless G2 series handheld microphones, and a Swarovski crystallization service, for any handheld Sennheiser microphone or accessory.
Chrome mic personalization involves the application of a chroming process to the capsule and microphone housing, and may be applied to both wireless and wired microphones. Sennheiser is also offering chrome color mic personalization giving users the option to select the color of their choice, including specialized color options. Both of these processes may be applied to the capsule and mic housing of both wireless and wired microphones.
A six-month warranty on the color chrome process does not negate the standard Sennheiser product warranty.
MSRP is $899 for standard chrome, $999 for special chrome colors and can be applied to most Sennheiser mics.
Both the chrome mic personalization and chrome color mic personalization processes are also available upon request for accessories such as microphone stands and clips.
