Double compressor (or expander) numrique Stereo with pr-rglages attack and release according to types of treatment.
CHARACTERISTICS two original for this type of product: a multi-band mode (3) on most preset mode and a "parallel compression" via a pot. mix.
Techno numrique.
Analogue connectivity Jack numrique 6.35 and S / PDIF RCA
MODEL Rack, shallow and light. Alim intgre.
UTILIZATION
Config. gnrale is seeking simple, functional but not forcment:
No button "bypass" is necessary to turn the pot. mix. Super impractical to compare. The economy of a push to lose much in flexibility.
It can be used in dual mono mode, but there is no "link" of rglages (as an ALESIS 3630).
No edition of the preset.
Manuel clear (and translated into En) but no info on frquences cutoff mode multi-band, nor the time of attack / release. It's a little compressor "for Dummies".
SOUND QUALITY
On the use and costs in the mix: pluttdu = I expected better of a multi-band mode. Many preset "gum" as a low compression standard (even in 2:1 mode with 6 dB comp).
I have not had time to test it on each solo configuration (type vocals, bass, percussion). It is possible that doing better.
In limiter mode MIX, "should not push too hard" on pain of dteriorer sound. No cons (numrique advantage of), much less background noise (with a BMOL "overload" rapid Makupa GAIN)
If one goes a bit too gain (Makupa) to compensate for the compression of the overload LED lights up. Little sensitive.
Mode "composite" which is defined be neutral is ultimately the least adapted (compression of a MIX).
The preset De-esser (2 choices) are plutt convincing.
In expander modes "rduction of breath" or "background noise" trs works well.
OVERALL OPINION
I just got it. I have several analog compressors dj "broadband" (VCA, FET), an analog compressor (VCA) Multiband Stereo (3) a compressor numrique competitor, and I practice since 1987.
In short, I am not at all falls under the spell of sound and practicable under the interface. Ex: In some preset, the passage of a ratio of 1.5 / 1 2 / 1 trs strongly modifies the sound: an unusual rate plutt modest.
Convinced of the 3-band compression, I thought back to the advantages of digital and benefitted the flexibility of preset. Finally, it does not (I got)
I let a little time to find her qualities, but we will have to impress me!
Otherwise, the quality of liberalization and the ratio quality / price trs good (if you like the sound of treatment).
