Actually bought this bass brand new from a dealer on eBay for $300 including the new custom case.

Very nice value first of all...solid construction, holds tune well up and down the neck, nice black gloss finish and mature design...rather easy to play with medium-fast action...nice custom-fitted case too...

It IS very heavy, but being a bass player I can hardly complain...I have played many a four-hour gig with it and never had a problem (except being tired)...just use a wide leather strap for better support...

Overall I am very pleased...the setup that came from the dealer was spot on...I showed it to a Guitar Center tech and he suggested better quality pickups but the producer for our demo CD (who is also a bassist) really dug playing it just the way it came from the factory like I do...

I have played nicer instruments but absolutely never a better value...recommended for the intermediate rocker with a strong back...a rating of 4.5 overall...
