The EMG pickups have a lot of tonal range, and are well matched to the pots...response to adjustment is predictable and smooth. As a regular weekend gigger, my bass collection leans heavily toward Fender. This Epiphone has really opened my eyes to the positive qualities of Gibson-ish instruments.
Awesome playability up and down the neck. I can't say enough about the quality of the instrument at this price point.
Even if I paid $500 for the bass with no case, I'd think I made a great deal. For $50 less and a hard case to boot, this was a steal!…
