« Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass »

I purchased this bass on a online auction for $625.00.I've read other good reviews on the Fender Marcus Miller J-Bass.I have owned alot of basses over the years and have never tried one of fender's japaneese line models.I figure if they are producing most of the signature and resissue lines they must be of good quality.

This is a beautiful looking bass.An ash body with a black pickguard, maple neck and block peraloid inlays. It has the correct 77' J-bass neck with the 1 7/16" nut and the 4" spacing for the pickups. It make's for a fast narrow smooth neck, with great playiability.

Fender could have thought out the wiring of this bass a little more carefully. It has a active-passive switch. If rewired correctly can produce a true passive 77" J-Bass sound.
All else is good with this bass.

A few minor flaws with my bass is.. a small over cut on the 12th fret inlay. A small gap on one side of the neck pocket.
Otherwise it's a great bass.

Like I said before,I've owned and played alot of basses. And I feel this is one of the best basses I've owned.Your axe has to feel right, to express your music through it.Every musician is in search of that soul mate.I may have found mine.
