bought in a store in Spain, Alternativas Musicales, who give BIG discounts It´s listprice is 480€ but I paid 385€... Bought it as a second bass after having played lots of basses in stores and having read like 1000000 articles on all basses. I was between this one, a yamaha bb404, a yamaha rbx370 and an ibanez gsr series. I also looked at the squire special P-bass, but this one outmatched all of those in features, apparent quality and finish. and looks

Ok i have like a few likes, almost everything actually... First of all, as mentioned in another review, only Iron Pewter finish seemed to be available (the other finish is moonlight shadow and looks like... like an ugly guitar-shaped moon BUT.... Ibanez has made a change in its offer: moonlight out, Bright Blue in. It looks awful to me at the internet site but now they told me iron pewter wouldn´t come untill june... so i got the blue one and it´s... SOOOOOOOOOOooooooo beautiful!!!!! It doesn´t look ANYTHING like the picture!!! it´s a transparent dark blue finish, like a dark sea colour. and its all glossy´and you can see the wood
Next are the pickups: 2 MASSIVE humbuckers with MASSIVE exposed polepieces (really really BIG) and more important they sound great. The same ones are used in high end srx basses so... They have built in thumb rests so you don´t misform your thumb Though they are PASSIVE (not like someone else said) it has an active pickup, great combination, with simple controls (volume, pickup balance, bass boost/cut, treble boost/cut), and heavy duty knobs. Zero hums by the way (not like the yamahas or the squire...) neck is 2 octave, slim and fast, and the body is a bit less rounded than other ibanez models. I like the style of it but others may find it a bit too square. Bridge is fine, heavy duty end is 1cm thick or so. Tuners are fine too (adjustable). I don´t know what kind of strings are on it, but i would like to know, they´re pretty good, although high-end srx come with elixir strings and this one I think not.

I would have liked a gigbag coming with it but instead it came with a cardboard box, a cable and an instruction booklet (yes, an instruction booklet) which explains where we can find the "strings" on the bass, how to tune them with the "tuners", etc... yep, a gigbag or a case would have been better, but for this money its this or a very-low-end yamaha/squire... Also, I would have liked a cable lock since I tend to step on my cable like every minute...
The only thing that bothered me a bit at first was the space between the pickups, its a bit small, not because they´re too close together, but because they´re TOO BIG So the first few hours my fingerplaying hit the bridge pickup but i´m used to it now... maybe it was because my playing style was a bit retarded I don´t know.
No major dislikes thus.

bolt on neck, solid basswood body, medium frets, Ibanez PFR pickups, everything solid state, everything nice, no flaws whatsoever. I especially like the finish of the fingerboard at the body side...

For the price, it hasn´t any real competitors. Great finish, great sound, REALLY REALLY POWERFUL SOUND (very very nice lows), and beautiful... I´m in love with the colour... Its a bit heavy and corners aren´t very round-shaped but other than that great bass. I´ve played the srx500 too and it´s not worth the extra 200€ unless you´re bill gates almost exactly the same features except for the sunburst colour, the hardware COULOUR and a maple top. I´ll give it 4 of 5 because I believe that there are better basses like the warwicks, but believe me for this money its the best you will find. (it beats EVERYTHING out of the gsr series by the way)

I went to a music store of my country,there i saw it a i decided to buy it. i paid $317 dolars.

it's a good bass that it's good as a starting bass like i choose. The neck is thin so it's more easy to play and the pickups sound good. I also like the sound of the highs and lows.The pickups sound great if you like the slap or finger style.It's ann active bass so the price is good for what you get.

i don't like the mid tones and that it's a little bit heavier than other basses, but the others stuff are good.

It's an srx4 neck, agathis body, both pickups are pfr-4 and a eqa.IIdx.

i recomended to the people that are lokking for a starting bass that you have time to spend with it because when you use it you don't want to leave the bass down.

UTILIZATION

Channel trs trs fine and pleasant for beginners and guitarists like me
the access to acute and trs ais due to body shape

SOUNDS

It is quite a style rock / neo as use more funk
I play on a Hartke 3500 with a pedal korg AX10B (right combination to exploit a range of effect)
Sound of the trs Varis slamming a more smooth (active EQ) see trs heavy
For my part I am particularly impressed by its sounds trs heavy amplissent the piece and that we could let it ring long trs (good sustain)

OVERALL OPINION

Use of this bass since I started (6 months) and progression trs is fast (when it is detached from the guitar ...)
I particularly appreciate the delicacy of the handle (first test of a squier Plow ...) which allows a quick game (small bass solo .. fun!)
I had the opportunity to test equivalents at yamaha, cort and tangglewood and personally I prefer quality over price of this one (380)

UTILIZATION

Channel trs enjoyable as ccoutume on ibanez, trs fast and comfortable, a really rgal, access to acute impeccable, the weight I do not personally drang.

SOUNDS

I use this bass to play rock and blues styles rather, are versatile enough, but rglages will be more about the amp on the bass in it even, as we ready the day rack or handle the sound will be DIFFERENT, I use enough string rinses for a sound that I look, but with strings you can have brilliant funk sound with no problem, the handle is in its IDAL typ really play blues, the sound above the microphones for rock or something with more potatoes, in short, a sound that really j'apprcie.

OVERALL OPINION

This is the lowest with which I started playing, so for over a year, it's really enjoyable to play trs, with a beautiful violin, I really recommend anyone beginners , trs a good report quality price, I do not think I'll spare one day, the translucent blue finish makes it really good trs (official photos really do not make the same) I would do this trs choice indeed!

UTILIZATION

Channel sweet trs, trs enjoyable. trs comfort. Bp encountered one small (I do not know if it comes from my bass or srx300 all are like that) but I find that the strings are too high, it is necessary to further support pr ... note it's not great

SOUNDS

It is a versatile ultra low you can play any style of music. Personally I am rather javoue metal and the upper strings make me think of a more acoustic than anything else. The sound's still pleasant trs especially since the microphones are good trs. I play with a 60w amp and whatever rglages the sound is good tjs trs.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 months this is my first bass and I'm glad trs. It is idalie for those who want to play music varie.Elle lends itself to all styles.
The report price is good quality. I bought 337 and the quality of sound is really irrprochable. Comfort and Aesthetics trs as good as I think the price is appropriate.
With exprience, if I had the same budget I would have taken the same. I confess that I would have taken another a little more money to say the reasons above.
