Zerothe(bass)hero « The caption for a handful of euros »
Published on 05/03/10 at 10:59This bass is Indonesian, a traditionally made enough agathis body (a kind of softwood current in the southern hemisphere), a 1 piece maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. 3-ply pickguard.
The bridge is vintage, understand that this is a piece of folded sheet metal, as are mechanical, but vintage enough. There's no Floyd on it!
21 frets. Enough for 98% of bass players do not suffer from the syndrome of repressed scratch. Standard frets, fairly thin. The handle is very fair, excellent shrink.
A simple micro split, volume, tone. Point bar.
Critics of agathis can get dressed right away, the agathis is a good tonewood. Is better than a bad good agathis alder. Obviously, you will find the opposite view on the sites of luthiers. But he preached for their wealthy parish, not for the Rockers penniless.
Note that the beast charged only 3300g on the scale. Precision pen.
As for the microphone, it's a Squier made Semon specification of Seymour Duncan.
UTILIZATION

OVERALL OPINION
Used for over a year, I do not separate any more. It sounds better than the Mex my buddy!
At my age, I had dozens of low prices which ranged from 150 to 500 euros, I even something of an amateur luthier very well made army of 2 Seymour real assets but holds her pill Squier high, as it is not to draw a simple nasal sounds in the bridge position.
What's missing there, then?? Fender logo, paint a little more careful (should be finicky like me)
